× The objective of research was to find out the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of subsidized house ownership loan (KPR) issuance procedure in Solo Subsidiary office of Bank BTN relative to the Know Your Customer principle application. This study compared the implementation of the recognizing customer principle of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of subsidized house ownership loan issuance procedure in Solo Subsidiary office of Bank BTN and Indonesian Bank Regulation No.3/10/PBI/2001 about the Know Your Customer principle application. Surakarta subsidiary office of Bank BTN had made subsidized KPR issuance policy by developing SOP relative to the Know Your Customer principle. The policy made had strength and weakness. The strengths were: having complied Indonesian Bank Regulation relative to the Know Your Customer principle by asking for information on potential customer identity, well-formatted form and document of Subsidized KPR corresponding to the Know Your Customer principle to reduce loan risk, having developed an information system that could identify and monitor customer transaction, having authority and responsibility limits for the work unit and having established a special work unit relative to the Know Your Customer principle. Even the well-made policy surely had weakness in some aspects. The weaknesses of this policy were no employee training program relative to the Know Your Customer principle and less control of CWO SPV/Head over the employee performance in the implementation of the Know Your Customer principle standard operating. Considering the result of research, the writer gave such recommendation related to the implementation of the Know Your Customer principle in SOP of Subsidized KPR issuance: there should be an employee training program and there should be control of CWO SPV/Head over the employee performance in the implementation of the Know Your Customer principle standard operating.
