The Impacts Of Farming Activties On Water Quality In Cengklik Reservoir, Boyolali, Central Java

× Cengklik Reservoir is a reservoir with a long history. These reservoirs play an important role as a supplier of water for agricultural irrigation. Agricultural activities around the reservoir eventually becomes a problem for the quality of the reservoir. The impact, possible degradation of water quality due to the inclusion of a reservoir of agricultural runoff into water bodies. Main objective of this study is measured the water quality condition as effect of agriculture activities around the reservoir. The research had been done at Cengklik Reservoir with sample from 3 station which represented inlet (south position), middle area and north side of the reservoir. The sample was taken at January 2014 in the end of dry season. Measured result of all water samples will analyzed with two methods. First, by comparison with Indonesia Government Regulation Number 82 at 2001 which the reservoir water clustered in 2nd class. Other analysis has been done by descriptive methods to explained the condition of reservoir especially in water quality. There was a low concentration of nitrate, nitrite, ammonia and phospate in The Cengklik Reservoir which all values is under the limitation in 2nd class of water regulation. Agriculture activities especially used of fertilizers contribute a rise number of some variable value like Kalium, BOD and COD, indicate by condition in sample station near by agriculture area (station 1 and station 3). Generally the water quality variable in Cengklik Reservoir is fulfill the 2nd class water requirements, except BOD which pass over the limit in all stations.
