× ABSTRAK The aim of this research is to examine the influences of reflector addition along with its variation to the evacuated tube solar collector thermal efficiency. The examination was conducted in a room with water as the fluid and used halogene lamp as the radiation sources. The experiment variations are the intensity of radiation (GT) that are 600,2 W/m2, 706 W/m2, and 805 W/m2; water flows ( ) , that are 0,004 kg/s and 0,008 kg/s; inlet temperatures (Ti) that are Ta, 35 oC, 40 oC, 45 oC, 50 oC, 55 oC, and 60 oC. Each variation was passed to the two of evacuated tube types, that are, without reflector and with PTC (Parabolic Trough Collector) reflector. Examination data that would be taken are absorber plate temperatures (Tpm) that measured at three points, ambient temperatures (Ta), and outlet temperatures (To). For the measurement of temperatures used T type of thermocouple that related to the acquisition data and then noted by computer. The reflector additions of evacuated tube solar collector had affected to the increasing of outlet temperatures. The increased temperature maximum was 5,61 OC. And also had affected to the solar collector thermal efficiency decreasing. The decreased thermal efficiency at maximum condition was 4 %.
