× This final project report was written based on the internship job in SDIT Ar Risalah Surakarta. The objectives were to describe the process of teaching listening and speaking skill by using Total Physical Response method to the third grade students of SDIT Ar Risalah Surakarta, to investigate the problems and to find out the solution of the problems. Based on the discussion, there are the profil of SDIT Ar Risalah Surakarta, the internship job activities and the activities of teaching listening and speaking skill using Total Physical Response (TPR) method. The activities in listening skill consist of listening activity and clapping. The activities in speaking skill consist of guessing activity. Teaching procedure divided into outside classroom procedure and classroom procedure. The outside classroom procedure consists of teacher preparation and teacher evaluation. The classroom procedure consists of some steps, they are: greeting, praying, preparation, warming up, explanation, practice, assessment, and closing. There were some problems encountered by the teacher and the students. The students’ problems were less of concentration, difficult to memorize English words, less of self-confidence, mispronunciation and wrong grammar. The teacher problems were classroom management, delivering the material, and limited teaching aids. I also presented the solutions to solve the problems, i.e. less of concentration can be solved by presenting interesting materials, difficult to memorize English words can be handled by repeating the vocabularies, less of self-confidence can be solved by asking them to speak in a group and individual and giving additional score, mispronunciation and wrong grammar can be solved by asking them to repeat the words for many times in a correct spelling, classroom management can be handled well by asking them to have a drama and role play, delivering the material can be solved by repeated the grammar form for many times, and limited teaching aids be solved by bringing some pictures and realia.
