×Background : Diarrheal disease is a disease-based environment. Several factors associated with the incidence of diarrhea is inadequate water supply, water contaminated by feces, lack of sanitation (excreta disposal unhygienic), personal hygiene and homely environment, undercooked food preparation and cooking food storage at room temperature is not should.
Purposive : This study aims to determine the relationship of personal hygiene and environmental sanitation in the incidence of diarrhea in infants in the village of Karang Sambung Kebumen.
Method : This type of observational analytic study with cross sectional studies. The population in this study were all families who have children (0 - <5 years) suffering from diarrhea. The sampling technique using a total of 40 sampling obtained. Data analysis used multiple regression.
Result : Respondents with good hygiene behavior persoal 24 people (60%). Respondents have an unhealthy home environment sanitation 37 people (92.5%). Respondents had a toddler with diarrhea were 30 people (75%).
Conclusive : The results showed that 1) There is a relationship of personal hygiene with the incidence of diarrhea in infants in the village of Karang Connect Kebumen (p = 0.000). 2) There are environmental sanitation relationship with the incidence of diarrhea in infants in the village of Karang Connect Kebumen (p = 0.000). 3) Effect of personal hygiene and environmental sanitation on the incidence of diarrhea in infants in the village of Karang Connect Kebumen of 48.9%, while 51.1% is influenced by other factors.
