×Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan yang signifikan antara kompetensi guru PPKn denga kompetensi siswa kelas VII.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode statistik asosiatif, yaitu prosedur penelitian yang dilakukan untuk menanyakan hubungan antara dua variabel atau lebih. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 sejumlah 320. Penentuan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling, dan diperoleh sampel 48 siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya. Tehnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup. Tehnik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis uji koefisien korelasi untuk menguji hipotesis asosiatif.
Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kompetensi guru PPKn dalam pelaksanaan pendekatan scientific dengan kompetensi siswa kelas VII (SMP Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya yang tahun pelajaran 2013/2014). Hal tersebut didasarkan pada hasil analisis data dengan tehnik analisis uji koefisien korelasi diperoleh rhitung > rtabel yaitu 5,553< 0,284 pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hal ini berarti ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kompetensi guru PPKn dalam pelaksanaan pendekatan scientific dengan kompetensi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014.

The objective of this research was to investigate whether or not there was a significant correlation between the competency of Pancasila (Indonesian Philosophy) and Citizenship Education teacher and the competency of the students in Grade VII.
This research used the statistical associative quantitative research method to question two or more variables Its population was all of the students as many as 320 in Grade VII of Junior Secondary School 1 of Tasikmalaya in Academic Year 2013/2014. The samples of the research were taken by using the simple random sampling technique. They consisted of 48 students in Grade VII of the school. The data of the research were gathered through closed questionnaire. They were analyzed by using correlation coefficient analysis to test the associative hypotheses.
The result of the research indicates that there is a correlation between the competency of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education teacher in the implementation of the scientific learning approach and the competency of the students in Grade VII of State Junior Secondary School 1 of Tasikmalaya in Academic Year 2013/2014 as indicated by the result of the correlation coefficient analysis in which the value of rcount = 5.53 is greater than that of rtable = 0.284 at the significance level of 5%. This, a conclusion can be drawn that there is a significant correlation between the competency of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education teacher in the implementation of the scientific learning approach and the competency of the students in Grade VII of State Junior Secondary School 1 of Tasikmalaya in Academic Year 2013/2014.
