ABSTRAK
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1). Karakteristik modul pembelajaran berbasis GDL; 2). Menguji kelayakan modul pembelajaran berbasis GDL; 3). Menguji keefektifan penggunaan modul pembelajaran berbasis GDL disertai model dan media tehadap hasil belajar pada materi Protista kelas X SMA Negeri Karangpandan.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research And Development (R & D) mengacu pada model Gall, Borg, and Gall (1983) yang dimodifikasi menjadi sembilan tahap yaitu: 1) Penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi; 2) Perencanaan; 3) Desain produk awal; 4) Uji coba awal; 5) Revisi terhadap produk awal; 6) Uji coba lapangan terbatas; 7) Revisi produk; 8) Uji lapangan operasional; 9) Revisi produk akhir. Responden pengembangan meliputi respon uji coba lapangan awal berjumlah 3 validator dan 2 praktisi, respon uji coba lapangan utama skala terbatas berjumlah 10 siswa, dan responden uji lapangan operasional berjumlah 40 siswa kelas exising learning, 36 siswa kelas modul dan 26 siswa kelas agregasi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket, observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan hasil belajar dianalisis dengan N-gain ternormalisasi untuk mengetahui keefektifan modul pembelajaran berbasis GDL, Paired Sample t-test untuk mengetahui hasil belajar sebelum dan setelah menggunakan modul berbasis GDL, dan Independent t-test dan Anava untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kelas exising learning, modul, dan agregasi.
Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Produk yang dikembangkan adalah modul yang sesuai dengan sintaks GDL, sesuai kurikulum 2013 yaitu pendekatan saintifik, terdapat lembar kerja siswa dan kontekstual; 2) Hasil pengembangan modul pembelajaran berbasis GDL layak untuk diterapkan pada materi Protista. Kelayakan modul pembelajaran berbasis GDL dari ahli 3,59 (sangat baik), praktisi 3,47 (baik), dan siswa 3,19 (baik) sehingga layak digunakan di SMA Negeri Karangpandan; 3) hasil keefektifan modul pembelajaran berbasis GDL ditandai dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar pada aspek pengetahuan yang diperoleh dari pembelajaran kelas existing learning 69,12, kelas modul 75,69, dan kelas agregasi 81,64; rata-rata hasil belajar pada aspek sikap siswa yang masuk dalam kategori sangat baik pada kelas agregasi (22,3) lebih banyak dibandingkan kelas modul (16,5); hasil belajar pada aspek keterampilan diperoleh rata-rata kelas agregasi (80,88) lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kelas modul (79,14). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa karakteristik modul pembelajaran berbasis GDL sesuai sintaks GDL, kurikulum 2013 yaitu pendekatan saintifik, terdapat lembar kerja siswa dan kontekstual; layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi Protista kelas X SMA Negeri Karangpandan.

ABSTRACT
The objectives of this research are: 1) to develop of learning module based on GDL; (2) to investigate the feasibility of learning module based on GDL; and (3) the effectiveness of learning module based on GDL use accompanied with model and media toward the students achievement on the topic Protist of Grade X of State Senior Secondary School of Karangpandan.
The research used the Research and Development (R&D) method, which referred to the model claim by Borg & Gall, and which was modified into nine phases, namely: (1) research and information collecting; (2) planning; (3) development preliminary form of product; (4) preliminary field testing; (5) main product revision; (6) main field testing; (7) operational product revision; (8) operational field testing; and (9) final product revision. The respondents of module development included field testing respondents consisting 3 validators and 2 practitioners, limited-scale main field testing respondents consisting 10 students, and operational field testing respondents consisting of 40 students in class existing learning, 36 students in class module, and 26 in aggregation module. The data of research were gathered through questionnaire, observation, in-depth interview, and test. They were analyzed by using the descriptive qualitative method. Meanwhile, the result of cognitive learning was analyzed by using normalized N-gain to investigate the effectiveness of the developed learning model; Paired Sample T test to investigate the students achievement prior to and following the model use; Independent t test and Anava, to investigate the difference of the result of existing learning class, module class, and that of aggregation class.
The results of research are as follows: 1) The product developed is the module which is in accordance with the syntax of the GDL and the 2013 Curriculum, namely: it uses scientific approach, it has student’s work sheet, and it is contextual; 2) The result of learning module based on GDL is feasible to be applied on the topic of Protist. The results of validation by experts of learning models on the developed module, practitioners, and students are 3.59 (very good), 3.47 (good), and 3.19 (good) respectively. Therefore, it is feasible to be used in State Senior Secondary School of Karangpandan. 3) The results of the effectiveness of the developed learning module based on GDL are indicated by the average scores of the knowledge learning result obtained by the existing learning class, module class, and aggregation class, namely: 69.12, 75.69, and 81.64 respectively. In term of attitude learning result, the aggregation class has more students who obtain the very good score (22.3) than the module class (16.5) in each aspect. In term of skill learning result, the average score of the students of the aggregation class is higher than that of the module class. Based on the results of research a conclusion is drawn that the characteristics of the developed GDL-based learning module is in accordance with the GDL and the 2013 Curriculum, namely: it uses scientific approach, it has student’s work sheet, and it is contextual. Therefore, it is feasible and effective to improve the students’s achievement on the topic Protist of Grade X of State Senior Secondary School of Karangpandan.
