ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Karakteristik modul IPA terpadu berbasis masalah dengan tema pencemaran lingkungan; (2) Kelayakan modul IPA terpadu berbasis masalah; (3) Keefektifan modul IPA terpadu berbasis masalah dengan tema pencemaran lingkungan.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D). Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Four-D yaitu pendefinisian (define), perencanaan (desain), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (disseminate). Keseluruhan tahapan tersebut telah dilakukan sehingga data yang diperoleh dianalisis deskriptif, analisis kelayakan modul berdasarka skor kriteria, dan analisis tes kognitif pretest dan posttest melalui t-test.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) karakteirtik modul IPA terpadu berbasis masalah dengan tema pencemaran lingkungan telah berhasil dikembangkan dengan model pengembangan Four-D; (2) hasil kelayakan modul dari validator sangat baik ditinjau dari komponen isi, keterpaduan, pendekatan, penyajian, kegrafikan, dan bahasa; (3) modul IPA terpadu berbasis masalah dengan tema pencemaran lingkungan efektif memberdayakan kemampuan sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan dengan hasil Gain score sebesar 0,7391 berarti modul ternomalisasi tinggi dengan tingkat efektifitas 42,5% berarti efektifitas sedang.

ABSTRACT
The objectives of the research are (1) to know the characteristics of problem-based integrated-science module having environment pollution as a theme; (2) to know the eligibility of problem-based integrated-science module; (3) to know the effectiveness of problem-based integrated-science module having environment pollution as a theme.
The research is research and development (R & D). The development model used is Four-D model comprising: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The four stages have been done so that the data is obtained and analyzed by descriptive analysis, module eligibility analysis based on criteria score, and the analysis of cognitive test of pretest and posttest by t-test.
The result of the research shows that: (1) the characteristics of problem-based integrated-science module having environment pollution as a theme has been successfully developed by Four-D development model; (2) the result of validated module eligibility is very good, viewed from the content component, integration, approach, presentation, graphics, and language; (3) problem-based integrated-science module having environment pollution as a theme effectively empower attitude, knowledge, and skill with the result of gain score 0,7391 meaning that the module normalized is high with the level of effectiveness 42,5% meaning that the effectiveness is medium.
