ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1. pengaruh metode
pembelajaran student team achievement division dan talking stick terhadap hasil
belajar geografi siswa. 2. pengaruh siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi
dan rendah terhadap hasil belajar geografi. 3. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh
Interaksi antara metode pembelajaran student team achievement division dan
talking stick dengan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain post
tes. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes hasil belajar geografi dan angket
motivasi belajar geografi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis varians
faktorial 2X2.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh skor rata-rata hasil belajar
geografi kelompok metode pembelajaran Talking Stick sebesar 63,28, dan hasil
belajar geografi kelompok metode pembelajaran STAD sebesar 79,44. Skor ratarata
hasil belajar geografi kelompok motivasi belajar tinggi sebesar 78,78 dan
hasil belajar kelompok motivasi belajar rendah sebesar 62,63. Hasil analisis F
hitung kelompok model pembelajaran sebesar 66,28 > F tabel sebesar 1,68. Hsil
analisis F hitung kelompok motivasi belajar sebesar 66,17 > Ftabel sebesar 1,68.
Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa: 1. Metode student team
achievement division memiliki pengaruh yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan
metode pembelajaran talking stick pada siswa terhadap hasil belajar Geografi
siswa pada siswa SMA Negeri 2 Magetan. 2. Siswa yang memiliki motivasi
belajar tinggi lebih baik hasil belajarnya daripada siswa yang memiliki motivasi
belajar rendah pada siswa SMA Negeri 2 Magetan. 3. Terdapat pengaruh interaksi
antara metode pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar geografi
pada siswa SMS Negeri 2 Magetan. Perbedaan hasil belajar mata pelajaran
geografi tersebut sebagai berikut: Metode STAD dengan motivasi belajar tinggi
memiliki hasil belajar paling tinggi, disusul dengan Metode STAD dengan dengan
motivasi belajar rendah, Metode pembelajaran talking stick dengan motivasi
belajar tinggi, dan terendah adalah Metode pembelajaran talking stick dengan
motivasi belajar rendah.

ABSTRACT
The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) the difference of
effect between Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) method and the
Talking Stick (TS) Method on the learning result; (2) the difference of effect
between the students with high learning motivation and those with low learning
motivation on the learning result; and (3) the interaction of effect between the
learning methods and the learning motivations on the learning result.
This research used the quasi experimental research method with the posttest
design. The data of research were gathered through test of learning result in
Geography and questionnaire of learning motivation. They were analyzed by
using the analysis of variance with the factorial design of 2 x 2.
The results of research are as follows: The average score of learning result
in Geography of the group of students instructed with the TS learning method is
63.28 whereas that of learning result in Geography of the group of students
instructed with the STAD learning method is 79.444. Furthermore, the average
score of learning result in Geography of the group of students with high learning
motivation is 79.44 whereas that learning result in Geography of the group of
students with low learning motivation is 62.53. The value of Fcount of the learning
methods = 66.26 is greater than that of F table = 1.68. Moreover, the value of Fcount
of the learning motivati is greater than that of Ftable = 1.68.
Based on the results of research, conclusions are drawn as follows: 1) The
STAD learning method has a better effect on the learning result in Geography of
the students of State Senior Secondary School 2 of Magetan than the TS method.
2) The students with high learning motivation have a better learning result than
those with low learning motivation. 3) There is an interaction of effect between
the learning methods and the learning motivations on the learning result in
Geography. The differences in the learning results can be explained as follows:
the students instructed with the STAD learning method and bearing the high
learning motivation have the highest learning result. The second and third places
are occupied by the students instructed with the STAD learning method and
bearing the low learning motivation and those instructed with the TS learning
method and bearing the high learning motivation. Lastly, the students instructed
with the TS learning method and bearing the low learning motivation have the
lowest learning result.
