× ABSTRACT . The Problems and Strategies of Matadewa Music and Entertainment in Developing and Promoting Its Products. English Diploma Program, Faculty of Letters and Fine Arts, Sebelas maret University. This final project is a description of the problems and strategies of Matadewa music and entertainment promotions. Entertainment business is one of the biggest commodity in our society, Entertainment world is apparently used in official business activities or in trade activities because entertainment has so many specific forms in its performance. Matadewa Music and Entertainment is an institution that serves many kind forms of entertainment. This company focused its business on music studio, sound system rental, private music course, and magic show packages. The writer chooses the title above after conducting job training in January 2005 in Matadewa Music and Entertainment. The writer uses descriptive analysis method to analyze the problems faced by Matadewa Music and Entertainment in promoting and developing its product. The second objective is to know the strategies made by Matadewa Music and Entertainment in promoting and developing its product. The results show that Matadewa have many faced problems in promoting and developing its product. There are internal and external problems. Internal problems include financial problems, human resources problems, equipment problems. External problems consist of many competitors doing the same business, not popular in the society. To develop and promote its products, Matadewa have been done several strategies. The strategy that have been done by Matadewa music and entertainment is printing and issuing many brochures, using many media to promote its product, making coordination with hotels restaurants, schools, malls, and participating in every entertainment exhibition. It will be better if Matadewa music and entertainment is have actively coordinated with other institution, look for staff that are capable in entertainment business, improve the promotion program, give more attention the development of the institution by increasing budget or funds to run the job to increase equipment and facilities quality
