ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah 1)Mengembangkan HandoutKimia berbasis Team Assisted Individualization (TAI), 2) Mengetahui kelayakanHandout Kimia berbasis TAI berdasarkan validasi ahli, 3) Mengetahui efektivitasHandout Kimia berbasis TAI untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa.Penelitian dan pengembangan handout menggunakan model prosedur Borg &Gall yang telah direduksi menjadi sembilan tahapan: 1) Penelitian dan pengumpulandata, 2) Perencanaan, 3) Pengembangan draft awal, 4) Uji coba lapangan awal, 5) Revisihasil uji, 6) Uji coba lapangan, 7) Penyempurnaan produk hasil uji lapangan, 8) Ujipelaksanaan lapangan, 9) Penyempurnaan dan produk akhir. Uji coba lapangan awaldilakukan di SMK N 2 Sukoharjo dan SMK N 1 Trucuk Klaten. Uji coba lapangandilakukan di SMK N 2 Sukoharjo dan SMK N 1 Trucuk Klaten. Uji coba lapanganoperasional dilakukan di 3 sekolah yaitu (1) SMK N 2 Sukoharjo, (3) SMK N 1 TrucukKlaten, (3) SMK N 1 Mojosongo Boyolali. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket,observasi, dan tes. Jenis data yang diperoleh adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Datakualitatif diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, angket dan saran saat uji lapangan. Datakuantitatif diperoleh dari penilaian validasi handout oleh ahli, penilaian angket pada ujilapangan awal, uji lapangan utama, dan uji lapangan operasional dan tes hasil belajarpada uji lapangan utama. Efektivitas handout diperoleh dari perbedaan rata-rata hasilpengetahuan, ketrampilan, dan sikap pada uji lapangan utama di kelas yangpembelajarannya menggunakan handout kimia berbasis TAI dan yang tidakmenggunakan handout kimia berbasis TAI.Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan menunjukkan: (1) hasil setiap langkahpengembangan handout kimia berbasis TAI berdasarankan saran dari para ahli dan telahdiujicobakan kepada calon pengguna, (2) Kelayakan handout berbasis TAI pada materiPembuatan Etanol Skala Laboratorium menurut para ahli berkualifikasi baik, praktisipendidikan diperoleh CV = 0,87 yang menunjukkan handout layak digunakan; rata-rataangket respon siswa dan guru diperoleh penilaian dengan kategori “sangat baik” (3)Handout kimia berbasis TAI efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar pengetahuan dan sikapsiswa.Kata Kunci : Handout Kimia, Team Assisted Individualization, Pembuatan Etanol SkalaLaboratorium, hasil belajar siswaABSTRACTThe purposes of this research and development were to know 1) the result ofeach step of the development of Team Assisted Individualization chemistry handout, 2)the feasibility of Team Assisted Individualization chemistry handout, 3) theeffectiveness of Team Assisted Individualization chemistry handout.Research and development of teaching handouts models Borg & Gall that hasbeen reduced into nine stages: 1) the stage of research and information gathering 2)planning, 3) first of product design development, 4) the initial field test phase, 5) therevision stage of the first stage product, 6) main field test phase, 7) product revisionstage second phase, 8) operational field test phase, 9) revision of the final product.Initial field test conducted in SMK N 1 Trucuk Klaten and SMK N 2 Sukoharjo. Themain field test conducted in SMK N 2 Sukoharjo and SMK N 1 Trucuk Klaten.Operational fiels test conduceted in three schools, namely (1) SMK N 2 Sukoharjo, (2)SMK N 1 Trucuk Klaten, (3) SMK N 1 Mojosongo Boyolali. The technique ofcollecting data through questionnaiers, observation and test. The type of data wasobtained qualitative data and quantitative data. The qualitative data was obtained fromthe interviews, advice when field testing and questionnaires. Quantitative data wasobtained from assessment handout validation by experts, assessment questionnaire atthe beginning of the field test, the main field and operational field testing and learningoutcomes in primary field tests. The effectiveness of the handout was obtained fromaverage difference in learning outcomes of knowledge, attitudes and skills in the classthat learning using Team Assisted Individualization-based chemistry handout and werenot using Team Assisted Individualization-based chemistry handout.The results of research and development were: (1) the result of each step of thedevelopment of Team Assisted Individualization-based chemistry handout was ahandout that has been chemically validated and has been revised based on advice fromthe experts and the handouts had been tested to prospective users, (2) The feasibilityTeam Assisted Individualization-based chemistry handout on teaching materialProduction of Ethanol in the Laboratory Scale based en expert assessment material,media expert, learning experts and practitioners obtained CV = 0,87 which indicates thatthe handout is feasible to be used; the average students questionnaire responses andteachers obtained with the assessment category of “very good”.
