ABSTRACT
The goals of this research are to identify the contexts of representative utterances uttered by the characters in film entitled “Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”and to analyze the pragmatic force of representative utterances uttered by the characters in the film by considering the illocutionary force. In conducting this research, the researcher refers to the theory of illocutionary force by Searle and Austin. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data are representative utterances in the film”Pirates of The Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.”From the data sources, the researcher  found that there are 155 representative utterances uttered by the characters. Then, the researcher took 30 utterances randomly as the data of the research.
The results of this research are every utterance contains a specific context and which can be idetified the situation when the utterance is uttered, the participant(s), the goal, the tone or the loudness, and also the topic and there are three linguistic forms of representative utterances that are used in “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” film: declaratives (66.6%), interrogatives (16.7%), imperatives (16.7%), thus 30 data have different functions refering the illocutionary force. These are assuring, denying, informing, warning, guessing, claiming, asserting, reminding, challenging, suggesting, insisting, and expecting.
The contribution of this research to English education are the use of pragmatic force of of representative utterances can be implementedin classroom interaction, and the pragmatic force ofrepresentative utterances can be used as teaching materials.

ABSTRAK
Tujuan dari Penulisan ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi konteks pada tuturan reperesentatif yang diucapkan oleh pemain dalam film berjudul“Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”dan untuk menganalisa pragmatik pada tuturan representatif yang diucapkan oleh para pemain dalam film dengan mempertimangkan ilokusinya. Dalam menyusun skripsi ini, peneliti merujuk pada teori ilokusi dari Searle. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kulitatif. Sumber datanya adalah tuturan representative yang terdapat dalam film “Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pear”. Dari sumber- sumber data, peneliti menemukan ada 155 tuturan representatif yang diucapkan oleh para pemain. Kemudian, peneliti mengambil 30 tuturan secara random sebagai data pada penelitian tersebut.
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah setiap tuturan mengandung konteks tertentu dan ini bias dilihat dari situasi ketika tuturan diucapkan, peserta, tujuan, nada atau kekerasan, dan juga topic dan dari hasil penelitian ini, ada tiga bentuk linguistic pada tuturan representatif yang digunakan dalam film” “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”: pernyataan (66%), pertanyaan (16.7%), dan perintah (16.7%), ketiga puluh data tersebut memiliki fungsi yang berbeda dilihat dari ilokusinya. Diantaranya meyakinkan, penolakan, menolak, informasi, peringatan, penebakan, klaim, pernyataan, pengingat, tantangan, saran, pernyataan dengan serius, dan berekspektasi.
Kontribusi penelitian ini terhadap pengajaran dan pembelajaran adalah penggunaan pragmatik pada tuturan representative dapat diimplementasikan dalam interaksi di dalam kelas dan pragmatik pada tuturan representatif juga dapat digunakan sebagai materi pengajaran.
