ABSTRAK
Kemampuan menulis deskripsi merupakan salah satu kompetensi dasar yang harus dimiliki siswa kelas VII SMP. Kemampuan ini diajarkan dengan tujuan agar siswa mampu memahami, menuliskan, menyusun kalimat, menuangkan ide, merevisi dengan  baik  karangan  deskripsi,  dan  mengidentifikasi  kekurangan  teks  deskripsi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan: (1) meningkatkan kemampuan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas VII-G SMP Negeri 1 Bagor, Nganjuk dengan metode Complete Sentence dan (2) meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran menulis deskripsi.
Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) ini dilaksanakan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa dan guru Bahasa Indonesia kelas VII-G SMP Negeri  1  Bagor,  Nganjuk.  Data  diperoleh  melalui  observasi,  wawancara,  tes,  dan analisis dokumen. Validitas data menggunakan trianggulasi metode pengumpulan data dan trianggulasi sumber data. Teknik analisis data dengan teknik deskriptif komparatif dan teknik analisis kritis.
Hasil menunjukkan bahwa metode Complete Sentence dapat kualitas proses pembelajaran menulis deskripsi dan meningkatkan kemampuan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas VII-G SMP Negeri 1 Bagor, Nganjuk. Peningkatan kemampuan menulis siswa ditandai  dengan  meningkatnya  jumlah  siswa  yang  mencapai  kriteria  ketuntasan minimal. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata kemampuan menulis deskripsi siswa mencapai
72,46 dengan persentase ketuntasan 46,67%, dan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata menulis deskripsi  siswa  meningkat  hingga  mencapai  85,96  dengan  persentase  ketuntasan
90,63%.  Adapun  peningkatan kualitas  proses pembelajaran  menulis  deskripsi  siswa ditandai dengan peningkatan nilai kinerja siswa dan kinerja guru. Nilai rata-rata kinerja siswa pada siklus I mencapai 71,10 dengan kriteria baik, siklus II mencapai 86,87 dengan kriteria baik. Nilai rata-rata kinerja guru pada siklus I mencapai 65,62 dengan kriteria cukup dan pada siklus II mencapai 90,62 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Complete Sentence efektif digunakan   pada   pembelajaran   menulis   deskripsi   karena   dapat   meningkatkan kemampuan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas VII-G SMP Negeri 1 Bagor, Nganjuk.

ABSTRACT
The ability to write a description is one of the basic competencies that must be owned by the students of class VII SMP. This capability is taught with the aim that students are able to understand, write, compose sentences, ideas, well revise essay descriptions, and identify shortcomings text descriptions. The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) improve the ability to write a description of class VII-G SMP Negeri 1
Bagor, Nganjuk with Sentence Complete method and (2) improve the quality of the learning process to write the description.
Class Action Research (Classroom Action Research) was conducted two cycles. The subjects were students and teachers Indonesian class VII-G SMP Negeri 1 Bagor, Nganjuk.  The  data  obtained  through  observation,  interview,  test,  and  document analysis. The validity of the data using triangulation of data collection methods and triangulation of data sources. Data analysis techniques with comparative descriptive techniques and critical analysis techniques.
The results showed that the method can Sentence Complete description writing quality learning process and improve the ability to write a description of class VII-G SMP Negeri 1 Bagor, Nganjuk. Increasing students' writing ability is marked by the
increasing number of students who achieve a minimum completeness criteria. In the first cycle of the average value of the ability to write a description of the percentage of students achieving mastery 72.46 with 46.67%, and the second cycle the average value write descriptions of students increased to 85.96 with a percentage of 90.63% completeness. As for improving the quality of students' learning process to write a description  characterized  by  an  increase  in  the  value  of  student  performance  and teacher performance. The average value of the performance of students in the first cycle reaches 71.10 with good criteria, cycle II reached 86.87 with both criteria. The average value of the performance of teachers in the first cycle reaches 65.62 with sufficient criterion and the second cycle reached 90.62 with the criteria very well. description of the class VII-G SMP Negeri 1 Bagor, Nganjuk.
