Kata kunci:  persepsi mahasiswa tentang problem based learning (PBL), pendekatan belajar mahasiswa, prestasi belajar mahasiswa

Andyka Prima Pratama, G0011023, 2015. The Relationship between Prescription about Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Learning Approach with Students Learning Achievement on Medical Student of Sebelas Maret University. Mini Thesis. Medicine of Faculty, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta
Background: Learning process that makes any change in a person. As a process, the factors that influence the learning process like environment, education’s means and facilities, physiological and psychology condition, whereas the result of learning process is learning achievement. The learning achievement becomes benchmark for success in learning that is achieved by students. The essence of learning achievement is a reflection from the learning effort that is done. The better learning effort then the better achievement that is achieved. The success of learning is influenced by the internal, external, and learning approach factors. The approach for learning can be varies  based on the topic one to another as well as influenced by the learning situations that are being undertaken. At this time, the learning situations in medical faculty of Sebelas Maret University adopts the Problem Based Learning (PBL) system. This application of PBL useslearning strategies that has the quality student-centered learning, collaborative, contextual, integrated, self-directed, and reflective.
Method :This research has the quality of observational analytic with cross sectional approach. This samples of research are 185 students of medical course in medical faculty of Sebelas Maret University class of 2011 the 7th semester that are taken by purposive sampling technique. Every respondents of research are given questionnaires perceptions about PBL and questionnaires frequencies of learning approach that has been examined the validity and reliability by the researcher. The  questionnaires perception about PBL are consists of 22 multiple choices questions with 5 answers choices whereas the questionnaires about learning process are consists of 19 multiple choices questions with 5 answers choices. The research data is examined by Spearman non-parametric bivariate correlation test (?=0.05) and linear regression multivariate test.
Result: Spearman correlation test results a no significant correlation between prescription about Problem Based Learning (PBL) with students learning achievement with p > 0.05 (p = 0.55), correlation coefficient (r) 0.043 and a no significant correlation between learning approach with students learning achievement on Medical Student of Sebelas Maret University with p > 0.05 (p = 0.44), correlation coefficient (r) 0.057.
Conclusion: There was no correlation between prescription about Problem Based Learning (PBL) and learning approach with students learning achievement on Medical Student of Sebelas Maret University
Keywords: prescription about Problem Based Learning (PBL), learning approach, students learning achievement
