ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana implementasipendidikan karakter di Madrasah Aliyah Pesantren Putri Al-Mawaddah. Penelitianini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan kualitatifdeskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah informan, aktivitas, arsip dandokumen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi,wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposivesampling. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi data (sumber) dan metode.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis interaktif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pendidikan karakter merupakantujuan pendidikan di MA Al-Mawaddah yang tercermin melalui visi dan misiyang disusun. (2) Pendidikan karakter diimplementasikan melalui tiga cara yaknikegiatan di asrama, kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas serta ekstrakurikuler danorganisasi. (3) Pendidikan karakter di asrama dilakukan melalui pembiasaan,keteladanan dan penerapan disiplin. (4) Pendidikan karakter melalui kegiatanbelajar mengajar dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter melaluimata pelajaran yang disampaikan. (5) Pendidikan karakter melalui esktrakurikulerterwujud dalam kegiatan muhadlarah (latihan berpidato), pramuka, ekstrakurikulerkesenian dan keterampilan serta organisasi.Kata kunci: implementasi, karakter, pendidikanABSTRACTThis research aimed to find out the implementation of charactereducation in Al-Mawaddah Islamic Girl Boarding School. This research useddescriptive qualitative method. Sources of data in this study wereinformans/resource persons, activities, archives and documents. Data collectiontechniques are the observation, in-depth interviews, and record documents. Thesampling technique used purposive sampling. The validity of the data usedtriangulation of data (source) and methods. Analysis of the data used in the forminteractive analysis.The result of character education implementation in MA Al-MawaddahPonorogo are (1) Character education is an educational purpose in MA Al-Mawaddah Ponorogo which is reflected through the compiled vision and mission.(2) Character eduation implemented through three ways which includes dormitoryactivities, teaching and learning in the classroom and also extracurricular andorganization. (3) Character education in dormitory carried out through habituation,exemplary, and application of discipline. (4) Character education through teachingand learning activities carried out by integrating character values throughdelivered lessons. (5) Character education through extracurricular which includesmuhadlarah (speech training), scouting, training of arts and skills alsoorganization.Keywords: implementation, character, education
