ABSTRAK
Di negara Indonesia sudah banyak berdiri perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang perdagangan ekspor, baik itu melalui langsung atau melalui perantara atau menggunakan jasa perusahaan freight forwarding. Perusahaan freight forwarding sangat membantu eksportir dalam memperlancar kegiatan ekspornya. PT MSA Kargo merupakan salah satu perusahaan Freight Forwarding yang ada di Surakarta. Aktivitas perusahaan ini meliputi pengiriman barang melalui laut maupun udara.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) untuk mengetahui cara penanganan proses ekspor Ikan dan Kerang melalui udara pada PT MSA Kargo Surakarta, 2) untuk mengetahui biaya dalam proses ekspor Ikan dan Kerang melalui udara pada PT MSA Kargo Surakarta, 3) untuk mengetahui kendala-kendala yang dihadapi PT MSA Kargopada proses ekspor Ikan dan Kerang.
Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah PT MSA Kargo yang beralamat di Jl. Adi Sucipto No.85 Surakarta. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus atau penelitian kasus (Case Study). Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara, studi pustaka dan observasi. Penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi secara mendalam dengan memfokuskan pada analisis penanganan ekspor barang perishable melalui udara yang dilakukan pada PT MSA Kargo Surakarta.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di PT MSA Kargo Surakarta, maka dapat disimpulkan: 1) Proses penanganan ekspor Ikan dan Kerang melalui udara pada PT MSA Kargo Surakarta yaitu packaging dilakukan menggunakan sterofom yang tebal dan didalamnya diberi es batu curah agar keadaan ikan tetap segar saat sampai di negara tujuan. 2) Sistem penentuan biaya yang digunakan PT MSA Kargo dalam proses pengiriman ekspor Ikan dan Kerang menggunakan sistem perhitungan per tahap yaitu dengan menghitung biaya-biaya pertahap. 3) Hambatan dan kendala yang di hadapi dalam proses ekspor Ikan dan Kerang antara lain ketersediaan space atau tempat di airline, proses pengurusan dokumen custom clearance dan karantina tidak bisa sama dengan hari keberangkatannya, penerapan standard packing dari airline, waktu persiapan packing harus teliti dan cepat, cuaca dan biaya penerbangan. PT MSA Kargo sebaiknya bisa mengatasi hambatan dan kendala yang terjadi, sehingga kerja sama dalam pengiriman ekspor ikan dan kerang dapat berjalan dengan baik.

ABSTRACT
Indonesian has many established export trade company, whether through direct or through an intermediary or use the services of freight forwarding company. Freight forwarding company greatly assist exporters in export activities. PT MSA Kargo is one of Freight Forwarding in Surakarta. The company's activities include the delivery of goods by sea or air.
The purpose of this study was 1) to determine how to handle the exports process of Fish and Shellfish by air to the PT MSA Kargo Surakarta, 2) to determine the cost in the export process of Fish and Shellfish through the air on a PT MSA Kargo Surakarta, 3) to determine constraints PT MSA Kargo facing the export process Fish and Shellfish.
The object of this research is PT MSA Kargo. It is located at Jl. Adi Sucipto No. 85 Surakarta. This type of research used in this research is a case study or case research. Methods of data collection in this study using interviews, literature study and observation. This research is to identify in depth by focusing on export handling analysis of perishable goods through the air by PT MSA Kargo Surakarta.
Based on the results, it can be concluded: 1) The process of handling the Fish and Shellfish export through the air in PT MSA Kargo Surakarta namely packaging made using thick sterofom and in it was given the bulk of ice cubes so that the current state of the fish stay fresh up to in the destination country. The export destination airport or destination countries, boxes derived based on number airway billnya. Once the document is already clear completeness, box truck increased in the freezer box of the exporters, after the completed box truck heading to the importing company. 2) the determination cost of the system used by PT MSA Kargo in the export process Fish and Shellfish shipments using a system of calculation per step is to calculate the costs pertahap.3) Barriers and constraints faced in the export process of Fish and Shellfish in PT MSA Kargo Surakarta between Additional availability of space or place in the airline, the process to obtain custom clearance and quarantine documents can not be the same as the day of departure, the application of standard packing of the airline, the time of preparation must be thorough and quick packing, weather and flight costs. PT MSA Kargo should try to solve the barriers and contraints that happened so the cooperation of fish and shellfish export can do quite well.
