ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Penyebab langsung (direct cause) kecelakaan berasal dari tindakan tidak aman (unsafe act) yang menyumbang sekitar 80 % dan kondisi tidak aman (unsafe condition) yang menyumbang sekitar 18%. Maka dari itu kunci untuk menghilangkan kecelakaan adalah dengan menerapkan perilaku keselamatan (behavior based safety) sebagai pencegahan proaktif terhadap potensi bahaya di tempat kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran penerapan behavior based safety di PT Pindad (Persero) Divisi Munisi khususnya di Departemen Pendukung Subdep Perkakas, serta kesesuaian upaya penerapan behavior based safety dengan standar perusahaan dan peraturan perundang-undangan.
Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif yaitu menggambarkan tentang penerapan behavior based safety dengan metode DO IT di perusahaan dan membandingkannya dengan peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku. Pengambilan data penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi langsung, wawancara kepada karyawan serta studi kepustakaan.
Hasil Penelitian: Departemen Pendukung Subdep Perkakas PT Pindad (Persero) Divisi Munisi telah mendefinisikan target program Behavior Based Safety yaitu pelaksanaan apel pagi, perilaku pemakaian APD, penerapan 5R, perilaku kepatuhan terhadap prosedur kerja, dan keikutsertaan pekerja dalam acara K3. PT Pindad (Persero) Divisi Munisi juga telah memberikan intervensi berdasarkan hasil observasi terhadap target-target yang telah didefinisikan. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dibahas sesuai dengan standar perusahaan dan peraturan perundangan yang berlaku.
Simpulan Penelitian: PT Pindad (Persero) Divisi Munisi telah menerapkan Behavior Based Safety dan telah memberikan intervensi berdasarkan hasil observasi.

ABSTRACT
Background: Approximately 80% of workplace accident were caused by unsafe actions and 18% were caused by unsafe conditions. The key to eliminate accidents by implementing safety behavior (behavior-based safety) as a proactive prevention against potential hazards in the workplace. The purpose of this study is to know the description of the application of behavior-based safety in PT Pindad (Persero) Divisi Munisi, especially in Hall C (Perkakas), as well as the appropriateness of the application of behavior-based safety efforts with corporate standards and legislation.
Methods: The study was carried out by using descriptive method that describes the application of behavior-based safety with DO IT methods at the company and comparing it with a standard company and legislation applicable. Research data retrieval is done by direct observation, interviews of employees and library research.
Results: Departemen Pendukung Subdep Perkakas PT Pindad (Persero) Divisi Munisi has defined a target Behavior Based Safety program thehe are implementation of early apples, PPE usage behavior, 5R implementation, behavioral adherence to work procedures, and participation of workers in the event of K3. PT Pindad (Persero) Divisi Munisi also has provided interventions based on the observation of the targets that have been defined. The data obtained and discussed in accordance with company standards and applicable laws.
Conclusion: PT Pindad (Persero) Divisi Munisi has defined a target Behavior Based Safety programs and interventions based on the results of observations.
