Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran non direktif terhadap civic disposition siswa pada kompetensi dasar menghargai upaya penegakan HAM kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5 Sukoharjo Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015.
    Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen, yaitu prosedur penelitian yang dilakukan untuk mengungkapkan hubungan sebab akibat antara variabel yang disengaja diadakan terhadap variabel yang diteliti. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5 Sukoharjo Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015 yang terdiri dari 9 kelas. Penentuan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling sejumlah 64 siswa yang terdiri dari 2 kelas yakni kelas eksperimen sebanyak 32 siswa dan kelas kontrol sebanyak 32 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Uji persyaratan yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis uji-t dua sampel yang independen untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan civic disposition siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sehingga dari hasil tersebut diketahui ada tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran non direktif terhadap civic disposition siswa pada kompetensi dasar menghargai upaya penegakan HAM kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5 Sukoharjo Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015.
    Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh skor rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebesar 111,50 lebih tinggi dibandingkan skor rata-rata kelas kontrol sebesar 105,38. Kemudian pengujian hipotesis dengan uji-t dua sampel yang independen diperoleh t hitung > t tabel yaitu 2,409 > 1,999 pada α = 5% artinya terdapat perbedaan civic disposition siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dari hasil tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran non direktif terhadap civic disposition siswa pada kompetensi dasar menghargai upaya penegakan HAM kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5 Sukoharjo tahun ajaran 2014/2015.

The objective of research was to find out whether or not there was a non-directive learning model on the students’ civic disposition in basic competency of appreciating the attempt of enforcing human rights in the 7th grade of SMP Negeri 5 Sukoharjo in the school year of 2014/2015.
This study was a quantitative research. The method employed was experimental one, the research procedure conducted to reveal a causal relationship between variables carried out intentionally on the variables observed. The population of research was the 7th grade of SMP Negeri 5 Sukoharjo in the school year of 2014/2015 contained in 9 grades. The sample of research was taken using cluster random sampling technique, consisting of 64 students contained in 2 classes: 32 students in experiment and 32 in control classes. Techniques of collecting data used were questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The prerequisite tests used included normality and homogeneity tests. Technique of analyzing data used was a two-independent sample t test to find out whether or not there was a difference of civic disposition between the students in experiment and those in control classes so that from the result it could be found whether or not there was an effect of non-directive learning model on the students’ civic disposition in basic competency of appreciating the attempt of enforcing human rights in the 7th grade of SMP Negeri 5 Sukoharjo in the school year of 2014/2015.
Considering the research an average score of 111.50 experimental class is higher than the average score of 105.38 control class. Then the hypothesis testing using a two independent sample t test with t statistic > t tabel 2.409 > 1.999 at significance level of 5%, means that there are difference of civic disposition between the students in experiment and those in control classes. So that from the result it could be found that there was an effect of non-directive learning model on the students’ civic disposition in basic competency of appreciating the attempt of enforcing human rights in the 7th grade of SMP Negeri 5 Sukoharjo in the school year of 2014/2015.
