ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah penerapan student facilitator and explaining dengan multimedia; (2) meningkatkan pembelajaran IPA tentang tentang sumber energi panas dan bunyi; dan (3) mendeskripsikan kendala yang dihadapi dan solusinya dalam penerapan student facilitator and explaining dengan multimedia dalam peningkatan pembelajaran IPA pada siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Waluyorejo.
Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) kolaboratif ini dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan dengan empat tahap: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Waluyorejo berjumlah 17 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes dan non tes. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerapan student facilitator and explaining dengan multimedia sudah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan langkah-langkah yaitu: (a) pendahuluan, (b) penyampaian kompetensi dan materi (c) pembentukan kelompok, (d) penugasan, (e) penyampaian hasil di depan kelas, (f) kesimpulan pembelajaran, (g) evaluasi dan penutup pembelajaran (2) penerapan student facilitator and explaining dengan multimedia dalam pembelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan proses belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Waluyorejo, hal ini dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya nilai keterampilan proses dan sikap ilmiah dari tiap siklus. Pada siklus I sebesar 70,74%, siklus II meningkat 77,5%, dan siklus III sebesar 88,40%. Pada penilaian hasil belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 35,3%, pada siklus II meningkat 38,2%, dan pada siklus III mencapai 91,1%; (3) kendala yang dihadapi dalam penerapan student facilitator and explaining dengan multimedia yaitu: (a) kurangnya persiapan pembelajaran oleh guru, (b) siswa belum aktif dan antusias dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, (c) siswa masih kurang percaya diri dalam menyampaikan hasil di depan kelas, (d) masih ada siswa yang pasif dalam menyimpulkan materi pembelajaran. Solusi yang diberikan yaitu: (a) mengarahkan guru untuk lebih mempersiapkan pembelajaran, (b) mengarahkan siswa agar aktif dan antusias dalam mendengarkan penjelasan, (c) berdiskusi dengan guru untuk mengarahkan siswa agar lebih percaya diri, (d) memberi arahan kepada guru untuk lebih memerhatikan siswa yang belum aktif dan antusias saat pembelajaran.
Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan student facilitator and explaining dengan multimedia dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV SDN 2 Waluyorejo tahun ajaran 2014/2015.

ABSTRACT
The objectives of this research are: (1) to describe the steps in the application of Student Facilitator and Explaining method using multimedia; (2) to improve natural science learning about resource of energy and sound, and (3) to find out problems and solutions in the application of Student Facilitator and Explaining method using multimedia to improve natural science learning for the fifth grade students in SDN 2 Waluyorejo.
This research is collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings. Each cycle consisted of: planning, action, observation, reflection. Subjects were fourth grade students of SDN 2 Waluyorejo in academic year 2014/2015 totaling 17 students. The techniques of collecting data in this research were test and non-test. Validity of data used triangulation of source and technique.
The results show that: (1) the application of student facilitator and explaining the multimedia has been implemented in accordance with the steps, namely: (a) introduction, (b) the delivery of the material competence, (c) the establishment of the group, (d) the assignment, (e) delivery of results in front of the class, (f) drawing conclusion of learning, (g) evaluation and closing, (2) the application of the Student Facilitator and Explaining using multimedia in natural science learning can improve students' learning process for the fourth grade students of SDN 2 Waluyorejo, this is evidenced by the increase of learning process and scientific attitude of each cycle. In the first cycle of 70.74%, the second cycle increased by 77.5%, and the third cycle of 88.40%. In the assessment of student learning outcomes, in the first cycle of 35.3%, in the second cycle increased by 38.2%, and the third cycle reached 91.1%; (3) the constraints faced in the implementation of Student Facilitator and Explaining using multimedia, namely: (a) the lack of preparation by the teacher in learning, (b) the students has not been active and enthusiastic in participating in learning, (c) students still lack confidence in delivering results ahead class, (d) there are still students who are passive in concluding learning materials. The solution are: (a) directing teachers to better prepare for learning, (b) directing the students to be active and enthusiastic in listening to the explanation, (c) discuss with the teacher to lead students to be more confident, (d) provide direction to the teacher for more attention to students who have not been active and enthusiastic while learning.
The conclusion of this research is the application of student facilitator and explaining using multimedia can improve natural science learning for the fourth grade students of SDN 2 Waluyorejo in the academic year of 2014/2015.
