Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) Perbedaan penggunaan metode TGT dan metode TPS terhadap hasil belajar sosiologi siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri Kebakkramat; (2) Pengaruh penggunaan metode TGT dan metode TPS terhadap hasil belajar sosiologi siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri Kebakkramat; (3) Besarnya pengaruh penggunaan TGT dan metode TPS terhadap hasil belajar sosiologi siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri Kebakkramat.
Penelitian ini bersifat kausal komparatif dengan desain penelitian eksperimen semu. Pupolasi dari penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa SMA Negeri Kebakkramat Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 dengan jumlah 1.046. Sampel penelitian yaitu sebanyak dua kelas XI diambil dengan teknik multistage cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Uji-t Dua variabel Independent.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : (1) Terdapat perbedaan penggunaan metode Team Game Tournament dan Think Pair Shared terhadap hasil belajar Sosiologi siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri Kebakkramat. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis data yang menunjukkan rata-rata kelas metode Team Game Tournament sebesar 77,41 dan rata-rata kelas metode Think Pair Shared sebesar 82,41 dimana selisihnya sebesar -4,90 dengan signifikansi 0,000 (sangat signifikan). (2) Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode TGT dan metode TPS terhadap hasil belajar Sosiologi siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri Kebakkramat. Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan harga t sebesar -7,479 sengan signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (sangat signifikan). (3) Besar pengaruh penggunaan metode TGT dan metode TPS terhadap hasil belajar Sosiologi siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri Kebakkramat yaitu sebesar 27%.
Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan penggunaan metode Team Game Tournament dan Think Pair Shared terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri Kebakkramat. Nilai rata-rata kelas metode Think Pair Shared lebih tinggi daripada kelas metode Team Game Tournament. Metode pembelajaran memberikan pengaruh sebesar 27% sedangkan 73% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.

The objective of this research is to find out: (1) the difference between the use of TGT and TPS toward the sociology learning outcomes of the eleventh grade social science students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat; (2) the effect of the use of TGT and TPS toward the sociology learning outcomes of the eleventh grade social science students of SMA Negeri  Kebakkramat; (3) the amount of the effect of the use of TGT and TPS toward the sociology learning outcomes of the eleventh grade social science students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat.
This research is a causal comparative study with quasi-experimental design. The population was all of the students of SMA Neferi Kebakkramat in the academic year of 2014/2015 which was 1,046 students. The sample consisted of two classes from eleventh grade which was drawn through multistage cluster random sampling. The technique of collecting the data used was test, questionnaire, and documentation. The technique of analysing the data used was ttest of two independent variables.

The result of this research showed: (1) there is a difference between the use of Team Game Tournament and Think Pair Share toward the sociology learning outcomes of the eleventh grade social science students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat. It can be seen from the result of the analysis which shows that the mean score of the class Team Game Tournament is 77.41 and the mean score of the class Think Pair Share is 82.41 with the difference of -4.90 and the significance of 0.000 (very significant) ; (2) there is an effect of the use of TGT and TPS toward the sociology learning outcomes of the eleventh grade social science students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat. It can be seen from the t obtained is -7.479 with the significance of 0.000 (very significance); (3) The number of the effect of the use of TGT and TPS toward the sociology learning outcomes of the eleventh grade social science students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat is 27%.
In conclusion, there is a difference between the use of Team Game Tournament and Think Pair Share toward the sociology learning outcomes of the eleventh grade social science students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat. The mean score of the class Think Pair Share is higher than the class Team Game Tournament. The learning method affects 27% while the 73% is affected by another factor.
