ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pebelajaran IPA denganpendekatan saintifik antara siswa yang belajar melalui model learning cycle dandiscovery learning, antara siswa yang mempunyai aktivitas belajar tinggi dan rendah,antara siswa yang mempunyai motivasi belajar tinggi dan rendah, serta interaksiinteraksinyaterhadap prestasi belajar pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental. Populasi penelitian ini adalahsemua siswa kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Masaran Sragen tahun pelajaran2014/2015. Sampel diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling sejumlah 2 kelas.Data dikumpulkan dengan metode tes tertulis untuk prestasi belajar aspek pengetahuandan metode observasi untuk motivasi, aktivitas, prestasi belajar aspek sikap, danketerampilan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis anava 2x2x2. Materi yangdigunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Klasifikasi Benda.Hasil pada penelitian ini adalah (1) ada pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaanpendekatan saintifik melaui model learning cycle dan discovery learning terhadapprestasi belajar; (2) tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan tingkat aktivitas siswa baiktinggi maupun rendah terhadap prestasi belajar aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan; (3)ada pengaruh yang signifikan motivasi belajar tinggi dan rendah terhadap prestasibelajar aspek sikap dan keterampilan; (4) ada interaksi antara pendekatan saintifikmenggunakan model discovery learning dan learning cycle dengan aktivitas belajartinggi dan rendah terhadap prestasi belajar siswa; (5) ada interaksi antara pendekatansaintifik menggunakan model discovery learning dan learning cycle dengan motivasitinggi dan rendah terhadap prestasi belajar aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan; (6)tidak ada interaksi antara aktivitas belajar tinggi dan rendah dengan motivasi belajartinggi dan rendah terhadap prestasi belajar siswa; (7) tidak ada interaksi antarapendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan, aktivitas danmotivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa.Kata Kunci: Pendekatan saintifik, learning cycle, discovery learning, aktivitas,motivasi, prestasi belajar.ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research was determined the effect of the sciencelearning with the scientific approach between the students used learning cycle dandiscovery leraning model, between the studens had high and low activities,between the students had high and low motivation, and the interaction of themodels, activities, motivation toward students’s knowledge, attitude and skillachievement.This was experiment research. The population was all students of class VIISMP Muhammadiyah 2 Masaran Sragen in Academic Year 2014/2015 onClassification of Matter. Samples in this research as much as 2 classes was takenby a cluster random sampling. Data collected by test method for knowledgeachievement. Data collected by observation method for motivation, activities,attitude, and skill achievment. Data analysis used ANOVA with 2x2x2.The results of this research were (1) there was an effect of the scientificapproach thorough learning cycle and discovery learning model toward students’sachievement; (2) there was not an effect of students’s high and low activitiestoward knowledge and skill achievement; (3) there was an effect of students’shigh and low motivation toward attitude and skill achievement; (4) there was theinteraction between scientific approach through learning cycle and discoverylearning model with students’s high and low activities toward students’sachievement; (5) there was the interaction between the scientific approach throughlearning cycle and discovery learning model with students’s high and lowmotivation toward students’s knowledge and skill achievement; (6) there was notthe interaction between students’s high and low activities with students’s high andlow motivation toward students’s achievement; (7) there was not the interactionbetween the scientific approach through learning cycle and discovery learningmodel, students’s activities and motivation toward students’s achievement.Keywords: The scientific approach, learning cycle model, discovery learningmodel, students’s activities, students’s motivation, the achievementlearning.
