ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitianini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPS yang dievaluasi dengan tes TTS, tes Kotak Kata dan tes Uraian pada sub kompetensi dasar mendeskripsikan gejala-gejala yang terjadi di atmosfer serta dampaknya terhadap kehidupan, (2) untuk mengetahui efektivitas hasil belajar IPS yang dievaluasi dengan tes TTS dan Kotak Kata pada sub kompetensi dasar mendeskripsikan gejala-gejala yang terjadi di atmosfer serta dampaknya terhadap kehidupan, (3) untuk mengetahui adanya efektivitas hasil belajar IPS yang dievaluasi dengan tes Kotak Kata dan Uraian pada sub kompetensi dasar mendeskripsikan gejala-gejala yang terjadi di atmosfer serta dampaknya terhadap kehidupan, (4) untuk mengetahui efektivitas hasil belajar IPS yang dievaluasi dengan tes TTS dan Uraian pada sub kompetensi dasar mendeskripsikan gejala-gejala yang terjadi di atmosfer serta dampaknya terhadap kehidupan.
Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperimental dengan desain penelitianPasca tes dengan kelompok yang tidak diacak. Populasi penelitian adalah kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Wonosari Klaten dan sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIIG sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VIIE, VIIF sebagai kelas eksperimen. Sampel tersebut diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dengan pengujian hipotesis analisis Anova Satu Jalan dengan taraf signifikansi 5% dan uji lanjut anava (Scheffe’).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : (1) ada perbedaan hasil belajar IPS yang signifikan antara yang dievaluasi dengan TTS, Kotak Kata, dan Uraian, dengan Fhitung > Ftabel (11.02 > 3.09), (2) hasil belajar IPS yang dievaluasi dengan TTS lebih efektif daripada yang dievaluasi dengan Kotak Kata,dengan Fhitung > Ftabel (6.94 > 3.09), (3) hasil belajar IPS yang dievaluasi dengan Kotak Kata lebih efektif daripada yang dievaluasi dengan Uraian, dengan Fhitung > Ftabel (4.26 > 3.09), (4) hasil belajar IPS yang dievaluasi dengan TTS lebih efektif daripada yang dievaluasi dengan Uraian, dengan Fhitung > Ftabel (21.94 > 3.09). dari ketiga bentuk tes tersebut tes Teka-Teki Silang yang paling efektif karena menunjukkan jumlah peserta didik yang dievaluasi menggunakan tes tersebut sebesar 85,29% telah tuntas.

ABSTRACT
The objectives  are  (1) to find out the  differences in the learning result of social studies which is evaluated by Crossword Puzzle, Word Square and Essay test on the sub basic of competencethat describe the symptoms occur in the atmosphere and its impact on life, (2) To find out the  effectiveness in the learning result of social studies which is evaluated by Crossword Puzzle and Word Square test on the sub basic competence  that describe the symptoms occured in the atmosphere and the impact on life, (3) To find out the effectiveness in the learning result of social studies which is evaluated by  Word Square and Essay test on the sub basic competence  that describe the symptoms occured in the atmosphere and the impact on life, (4) to find out the effectiveness in learning result of social studies by Crossword Puzzle and Essay test on the sub basic competence  that describe the symptoms occured in the atmosphere and the impact on life.
The type of research is a Quasi-experimental with post-test research design by a non-randomized groups. The research population is VII grade students  of SMP Negeri 2 Wonosari Klaten and the sample is VIIG grade students as a classroom control and VIIE, VIIF grade students as a class experiment. The samples taken by using cluster sampling technique. Data collection techniques by using the test, interview, dokumentation and data analysis techniques are used to test hypotheses One Way ANOVA analysis at 5% significance level and further test ANOVA (Scheffe’ Test).
The results shows: (1) there are significant differences in learning result of social studies between which evaluated with Crossword Puzzle, Word Square, and Essay test on the sub basic competence that describe the symptoms occured in the atmosphere and the impact on life, with F count> F table (11:02 > 3:09), (2) the learning result of social studieswhich are evaluated by Crossword Puzzle testeffectiveness than evaluated by Word Square test on the sub basic competence describe the symptoms that occur in the atmosphere and the impact on life, the F count> F table (6.94> 3:09), and (3) the learning result of social studies that evaluated  by Word Square test are effectiveness than evaluated by the Essay test on the sub basic competence describe the symptoms that occur in the atmosphere and the impact on life, with F count> F table (4:26> 3:09), (4 ) the learning result of social studiesthat evaluated byCrossword Puzzle test is effectiveness than evaluated by the Essay test on the sub basic competence describe the symptoms that occur in the atmosphere and the impact on life, with F count> F table (21.94> 3:09).
