ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita bilangan desimal matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Pair Checks pada siswa kelas IV SDN Ngadirejan Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015.
Bentuk penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Sebanyak tiga siklus. Tiap siklus berlangsung selama 2 pertemuan dan terdiri dari empat tahapan. Tahapan tersebut yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas IV SDN Ngadirejan Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 37 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara, dan tes. Uji validitas menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik deskriptif komparatif dan teknik analisis kritis. Selain itu juga menggunakan teknik analisis data model analisis interaktif (Miles&Huberman) yang terdiri dari tiga komponen yaitu reduksi data, sajian data dan penarikan simpulan (verifikasi).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita bilangan desimal pada siswa meningkat, hal itu terlihat dari nilai setiap siklus yaitu nilai rata – rata sebelum tindakan (prasiklus) 56,49, pada siklus I nilai rata – rata menjadi 66,76, pada siklus II nilai rata – rata meningkat menjadi 77,57 dan pada siklus III meningkat menjadi 87,70. Sebelum dilaksanakan tindakan (prasiklus), siswa yang memperoleh nilai di atas KKM (= 67) sebanyak 14 siswa (37,8%), siklus I yang tuntas sebanyak 23 siswa (62,2%), siklus II yang tuntas sebanyak 29 siswa (78,38%) dan pada siklus III yang tuntas sebanyak 35 siswa (94,59%).
Berdasarkan data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Pair Checks dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita bilangan desimal matematika pada siswa kelas IV SDN Ngadirejan Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of the research is to increase word problem solving capability for mathematical decimal number by applying Pair Checks learning model upon fourth grade elementary school students at Ngadirejan State Elementary School for 2014-2015 School Year.
The form of this research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). It has three cycles. Every cycle consist of two meetings and four stages. Those stages are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research are teacher and 37 students of fourth grade elementary school at Ngadirejan State Elementary School for the 2014-2015 School Year. This research has several techniques of collecting data, such as observation, documentation, interview, and test. The validity of this research is examined with triangulation of source and method triangulation. This research uses several techniques for data analysis, such as comparative descriptive analysis, critical analysis, and interactive model (Miles and Huberman). The interactive model data analysis has three components, such as data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-drawing (verification).
The result of this research asserts that the students’ capability of word problems solving for mathematical decimal number increase. That is proved through the marks of every cycle. The average mark before the action (pre-cycle) is 56,49, whereas the average mark of Cycle I is 66,76. That asserts the increasing of the average mark. The average marks in Cycle II and Cycle III increase in 77,57 and 87,70. Before the action is conducted (pre-cycle), there are 14 students who get mark above standard of minimum completeness of mastery learning (KKM) (= 67) or 37,8%, whereas the Cycle I has 23 students or 62,2% who get mark above the KKM. There are 29 students or 78,38% in the Cycle II and 35 students or 94,59% in the Cycle III who get mark above the KKM.
The conclusion of the research is the applying of Pair Checks teaching model can increase the student’s capability of word problem solving for mathematical decimal number upon fourth grade students of elementary school at Ngedirejan State Elemetary School for the 2014-2015 Year School.
