ABSTRAK
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) karakteristik modul berbasis guided inquiry laboratory untuk meningkatkan literasi sains dimensi proses materi Sistem Pencernaan pada kelas XI; 2) kelayakan modul berbasis guided inquiry laboratory untuk meningkatkan literasi sains dimensi proses materi Sistem Pencernaan pada kelas XI; 3) keefektifan modul berbasis guided inquiry laboratory untuk meningkatkan literasi sains dimensi proses materi Sistem Pencernaan pada  kelas XI.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) yang memodifikasi prosedur pengembangan Borg and Gall (1983) yang meliputi 10 tahap yaitu: 1) pengumpulan data; 2) perencanaan; 3) pengembangan produk awal; 4) uji coba lapangan awal; 5) revisi produk I; 6) uji coba lapangan utama; 7) revisi produk II; 8) uji coba operasional; 9) revisi produk akhir; dan 10) diseminasi dan implementasi. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi, ahli penyajian, ahli bahasa, ahli perangkat pembelajaran dan praktisi pendidikan. Subjek uji coba lapangan utama dilakukan pada kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 4 berjumlah 67 siswa yang terdiri dari 2 kelas menggunakan modul yaitu 34 siswa kelas XI IPA 1 dan 33 siswa kelas XI IPA 4.
Hasil Penelitian ini adalah: 1) karakteristik modul berbasis guided inquiry laboratory dikembangkan berdasarkan sintaks guided inquiry laboratory yaitu: observasi, manipulasi, generalisasi, verifikasi, dan aplikasi;2) kelayakan modul berbasis guided inquiry laboratory oleh para validator menunjukkan kategori “sangat baik” (92,89%); 3) modul berbasis guided inquiry laboratory efektif meningkatkan literasi sains dimensi proses materi Sistem Pencernaan pada kelas XI. Hasil analisis uji non-parametrikWilcoxon menunjukkan indeks probabilitas (p) < 0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak, ada perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan modul guided inquiry laboratory. Berdasarkan uji tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul berbasis guided inquiry laboratory efektif dan layak meningkatkan literasi sains dimensi proses materi Sistem Pencernaan pada kelas XI.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to find out: 1) the characteristics module based on guided inquiry laboratory to improve process dimension of students’ scientific literacy on the Digestive System material of XI grade; 2) the feasibility module based on the guided inquiry laboratory to improve process dimension of students’ scientific literacy on the Digestive System material of XI grade; 3) the effectiveness module based on guided inquiry laboratory to improve process dimension of students’ scientific literacy on the Digestive System material of XI grade.
This Research and Development(R & D)is modified from Borg and Gall (1983). The development of module based on guided inquiry laboratory was done through 10 stages: 1) research and information collecting; 2) planning; 3) develop preliminary form of product; 4) preliminary field testing; 5) main product revision; 6) main field testing; 7) operational product revision; 8) operational field testing; 9) final product revision; and 10) dissemination and implementation. The validation of product development was done by a material expert, presentation of module expert, language expert, learning instrument expert. The main fields of research subjects with 67 students which consist of two class use module, 34 students of XI grade of science class first and 33 students of XI grade of science class fourth with 67 students.
The results of this research and development is: 1) the characteristics of module based on guided inquiry laboratory is developed based on syntax guided inquiry laboratory which is: observation, manipulation, generalization, verification, and application; 2) The result of validation module based on guided inquiry laboratory by expert has “very good” category (92,89%); and 3) module based on guided inquiry laboratory is able to improve dimension process of students’ scientific literacy on the Digestive System material of XI grade. The results of analysis non-parametric Wilcoxon test showed  that XI grade of science class first and XI grade of science class fourth had index of probability (p) <0.05, so H0 was rejected, there is difference of the result before and after using module based on guided inquiry laboratory. Based on this data it can be concluded that using module based on guided inquiry laboratory effective and feasibleto improve process dimension of students’ scientific literacy on Digestive System material of XI grade.
