ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang:Menstruasi adalah perdarahan dari uterus sebagai tanda bahwa alat kandungan menjalankan fungsinya. Panjang siklus menstruasi yang normal ialah 21-35 hari. Namun beberapa perempuan memiliki siklus menstruasi tidak teratur yang disebabkan oleh banyak faktor. Stres merupakan suatu respon fisiologis, psikologis dan perilaku dari manusia yang mencoba untuk mengadaptasi dan mengatur baik tekanan internal dan eksternal (stresor).Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis adanya hubungan antara stres dan ketidakteraturan siklus menstruasi pada siswi kelas XI SMA MTA Surakarta.
Metode:Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswi kelas XI SMA MTA Surakarta. Sampel 104 siswi dengan menggunakan proportionate random sampling. Instrumen stres menggunakan kuesioner adaptasi DASS dan Ketidakteraturan siklus menstruasi menggunakan teknik wawancara. Teknik analisa data menggunakan Lambda dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 17.
Hasil:Diperoleh tingkat stres terbanyak adalah stres sedang dengan jumlah 65 siswi (62,5%), dan siklus menstruasi tidak teratur sebanyak 46 siswi (44,23%) Hasil analisis data terdapat hubungan antara stres dan Ketidakteraturan siklus menstruasi, namun kekuatan korelasinya lemah (p=0,036, r=0,286). Simpulan:Ada hubungan antara Stres dan Ketereaturan Siklus Menstruasi pada Siswi Kelas XI SMA MTA Surakarta

ABSTRACT
Background: Menstruation is the bleeding from uterus as an indication that the uterus plays its function. The length of normal menstrual cycle is 21 – 35 days. However, several women have an irregular menstrual cycle caused by many factors. Stress is a physiological, psychological, and behavioral response of man who tries to adapt and regulate both the internal and external stressors.
Objective: To analyze the correlation between the stress and the menstrual cycle regularity of the female students of MTA Senior Secondary School of Surakarta.
Method: This research used the cross-sectional approach. Its population was all of the female students in Grade XI of the aforementioned school. The samples of research consisted of 104 female students and were taken by using the proportionate random sampling. The data of stress were collected through questionnaire, adapted from DASS and those of menstrual cycle irregularity were collected through in-depth interview. They were analyzed by using the Lambda formula aided with the computer program of SPSS Version 17.
Result: 65 respondents (62.5%) suffered from moderate stress, and 46 respondents (44.23%) had menstrual cycle irregularity. The result of analysis shows that there was a weak correlation between the stress and the menstrual cycle irregularity as indicated by the p-value p=0.036 and the r-value =0286.
Conclusion: There was a correlation between the stress and the menstrual cycle regularity of the female students in Grade XI of MTA Senior Secondary School of Surakarta.
