ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a tactical approach and to compare tactical approach models with conventional approaches in improving the BASKET BALL SKILLs of student in class X Cemical Industrial Secondary vocational schools nation 2 Sukoharjo academic YEAR 2014/2015.
This study is a quasi experimental study (PEK). The research was conducted with pretest-posttest design Non-Equivalent Control Group. The subjects were students of class X Cemical Industrial Secondary vocational schools nation 2 Sukoharjo which amounted to 70 students. In this study there were two groups, namely a control group of 34 students and the experimental group were 36 students. Data collection techniques with basket ball skill tests Werry-Doolittle, Tests make tactical decisions and implementation skills, namely with GPAI (Game Performance Assesment Instrument) and the observation sheet or sheets of observations.
Based on the results of the study show the following: (1) In terms of process, tactical approach affects the basketball game learning. the application of tactical approaches as indicated by the results of the data analysis, a) Data analysis with the observation sheet to the activities of students in the learning process during the 4 meetings, that most of the students included in the excellent category as much as 5 students or 13.88%, both categories as many as 14 students or 38.88% and quite as many as 17 students or 47.22%. In the conventional learning can not be implemented observation when learning takes place, because the learning does not pitch with a detailed design as the experimental group. b) From the comparative analysis of the average of total T-Score experimental group pretest results 143,11 and posttest 172,81, while the average of the total T-Score control group pretest results 140,03 and posttest 150,03. (2) From the comparative analysis of the total T-Score results of pretest and posttest scores, student learning is said to be completed if they are in the category of excellent, good and fair. In the control group pretest students who completed as many as 21 students or 61,76% after getting treatment posttest to 22 students or 64,70% of the 34 students. While the experimental group pretest students who completed a total of 22 students or 61,11% after getting treatment posttest increased to 35 students or 97.22% of the 36 students.
This suggests that the resulting increase in basket ball playing skills with tactical approach better than the results of the skills to play basket ball with the conventional approach.
