ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini mengindikasikan nilai pendidikan Karakter dan kearifan lokal dalam cerita rakyat Kabupaten Sumabwa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan isi cerita rakyat Kabupaten Sumbawa Nusa Tenggara Barat. (2) mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung dalam cerita rakyat Kabupaten Sumbawa Nusa Tenggara barat. (3) mndeskripsikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Kabupaten Sumbawa Nusa Tenggara Barat. (4) mendeskripsikan relevansi pembelajaran sastra di sekolah dasar.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tiga Kecamatan di Kabupaten Sumbawa yaitu, di Desa Brangkolong dan desa Muer Kecamatan Plampang, Desa Suka Mulya Kecamatan Lenangguar, Kecamatan Utan. Dengan subjek berupa cerita rakyat, yaitu cerita rakyat Paruma Ero, cerita rakyat Batu Tongkok, cerita Bola Sabale, cerita rakyat Meke Serep. Waktu pelaksanaan peneltian dari bulan januari sampai dengan bulan juni 2015. Hasil penelitian berupa data kualitatif diperoleh dengan teknik wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Dari beberapa cerita rakyat yang di himpun dapat mewakili daerah masing-masing dengan triangulasi dan imformant review, informasi, metode, dan teori dibandingkan lebih dari satu sumber. Teknik analisis data dengan teknik analisis model mengalir di mulai dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan trakhir penarikan kesimpulan.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil cerita rakyat di Kabupaten Sumbawa. Yaitu Cerita rakyat Paruma Ero berbentuk mite, cerita rakyat Batu Tongkok berbentuk legenda, dan cerita rakyat Bola sabale dan Meke Serep berbentuk dongeng. Dari keempat cerita rakyat di Kabupaten Sumbawa mengandung nilai pendidikan karakter meliputi nilai rasa ingin tau, peduli lungkungan, cinta damai, kerja keras, semangat kebangsaan, tanggung jawab, jujur, kreatif, riligius, disiplin, mandiri, cinta damai, dan tanggung jawab. Kemudian kearifan lokal kearifan lokal meliputi nilai kemimpinan, tradisi, sosial, dan pengabdian. Berdasarkan kurikulum, cerita rakyat sangat relevan dengan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar pada aspek mendengarkan.

ABSTRACT
This study deals with the values of character education and local wisdom in Sumbawa Regency’s folklores. This study aims at (1) describing the types of folklores from Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province; (2) describing and explaining the content of folklores from Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province; (3) describing and explaining the values of character education contained inside the folklores from Subawa regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province; (4) describing the local wisdoms in the folklore of Subawa regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province; and (5) describing and explaining its relevance with literature taught in elementary school.
This study took three districs in Sumabawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province as the locus of the study. They are Brangkolong village and Muer Village of Plampang Sub-district, Suka Mulya village of Lenangguar Sub-district, and Pukat village of Utan sub-district. The subjects of this study were folklores entitled Paruma Ero, Batu Tongkok, Bola Sabale, and Meke Serep. This study was conducted from December 2014 to May 2015. The result of this study is qualitative data gained by conducting interview and document analysis. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The technique of the data validity employed member checking group gained by checking and comparing the data, information and theory from some sources. Then, the data were communicated to the informants. The technique of analyzing the data employs flow model analysis starting from data collection, data reduction, data service, and conclusion. The raw data from the fields were selected, grouped, and arranged into an easy-to-analyze in which can be used as the conclusion.
Based on the research result, it was found that folklores in Sumbawa regency consisted of Paruma Ero is a myth, Batu Tongkok is a legend, and Bola Sabale and Meke Serep are respectively a tale. The four folklores contain many character education values to impart curiosity, caring about environment, peace, high-determination, spirit of nationality, responsibility, honesty, creativity, religion, discipline, and independence. Then, the local wisdoms contained in the folklores impart the values of leadership, tradition, social, and dedication. Accordingly, the four folklores are inherently relevant with literature taught in elementary school.
