ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahuipenerapan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)untukmeningkatan prestasi belajar membatik bagi siswa kelas IX-A SMP Negeri 3 Kokap Kulon Progo.
Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, tiap siklus dilaksanakan selama empat kali pertemuan. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama empat bulan yaitu bulan Agustus sampai dengan bulan Oktober 2014. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMP Negeri 3 Kokap Kulon Progo yang berjumlah 23 siswa. Sumber data berasal dari gurudansiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Validitas data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik triangulasisumber data. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Prosedur penelitian dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi pada tiap siklus.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning(CTL) dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar membatik siswa dari prasiklus ke siklus I dan ke siklus II. Ketuntasan belajar siswa pada prasiklus adalah 10 siswa atau 43,47%, setelah dilakukan tindakan pada siklus I jumlah siswa yang mendapat nilai tuntas adalah 15 siswa atau 65,21%, sedangkan pada siklus II jumlah siswa yang mendapat nilai tuntas meningkat menjadi 19 siswa atau 82,60%.Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar membatik bagi siswa kelas IX-A SMP Negeri 3 Kokap Kulon Progo.

ABSTRACT
The objective of research was to find out the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model to improve the batik learning achievement for the IX-A graders of SMP Negeri 3 Kokap Kulon Progo.
This research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study was conducted in two cycles, each of which was implemented in four meetings. The research was conductedduring four months, from August to October 2014. The subjects werethe students of SMP Negeri 3 KokapKulonProgo totaling 23 students. Sources of data were derived from the teachers and students. The techniques in collectingthe data wereinterview, observation and document analysis. The data were validated using data triangulation. The data was analysed by using descriptive statistical analysis. Research procedures were implemented through planning, action, observation, and reflection at each cycle.
The results showed that through the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)learning models could increase the studentbatik learning achievement from the pre cycle to cycle I and cycle II. The students learning mastery at pre cyclewas 10 students or 43.47%, after appliyingthe action on the first cycle, the number of students who scored completion was 15 students or 65.21%, while in the second cycle the number of students increased to 19 students or 82.60%.It was concluded that the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning models can improvebatiklearning achievement of students ofclass IX-A at SMP Negeri 3 KokapKulonProgo.
