ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang : Penggunaan tenaga manusia sebagai pekerja sangat banyak terutama pada aktivitas angkat-angkut. Namun, aktivitas tersebut teridentifikasi beresiko tinggi sebagai penyebab utama timbulnya cidera pada otot rangka. Keluhan otot inilah yang biasanya disebut dengan Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis postur tubuh mitra kerja PT. SII pada saat aktivitas angkat-angkut sehingga dapat mengetahui ergonomis atau tidak postur tubuh yang dilakukan.
Metode : Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan pada kasus ini adalah deskriptif, yaitu memberikan gambaran seutuhnya tentang postur tubuh dari para mitra kerja PT.SII pada aktivitas angkat-angkut (Material Manual Handling) yang dilakukan pada area PVC Ware House. Pengambilan data mengenai postur tubuh ini dilakukan melalui observasi langsung ke lapangan kemudian dilakukan penilaian berdasarkan metode RULA.
Hasil : Hasil yang diperoleh dari postur tubuh dalam aktivitas angkat-angkut yang dilakukan oleh mitra kerja PT. SII pada area PVC Ware House berdasarkan penilaian RULA adalah memperoleh nilai 7 pada tabel grand score. Sehingga perolehan nilai tersebut masuk dalam tabel action level 4 yang menunjukkan bahwa adanya penyelidikan dan perbaikan dibutuhkan sesegera mungkin (mendesak).
Simpulan : Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa postur tubuh mitra kerja PT. SII dalam melakukan aktivitas manual handling pada area PVC Ware House di PT. Asahimas Chemical diperlukan adanya penyelidikan dan perbaikan sesegera mungkin (mendesak). Adapun saran perbaikan yang dapat penulis berikan terhadap kasus ini diantaranya mengadakan evaluasi kerja, metode kerja, sikap dan postur tubuh saat bekerja serta mengetahui penyebab terjadinya postur tubuh yang tidak ergonomis agar dapat dilakukan pencegahan dini terhadap kecelakaan kerja.

ABSTRACT
Background : The use of human labor as workers very much especially at manual handling activities. However, these activities are identified at high risk as the main cause of injury in skeletal muscle. Complaints of muscle is what is usually referred to as Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). The purpose of this study was to analyze body posture partners PT. SII at the time of manual handling activity in order to determine ergonomic posture or not done.
Methods : The methods used in this case is a descriptive study to illustrate the partners PT. SII body posture in manual handling activities conducted in a PVC Ware House area. This data collection about body posture was conducted by direct field observation and then conducted assessment based method of the RULA.
Result : The results obtained from partners PT. SII body posture in manual handling activities in the PVC Ware House area based on the assessment of the RULA method is scored 7 in the grand score table. So that the scoring included in the category action level 4 which shows that investigation and repair is needed as soon as possible.
Conclusion : Based on the results of this study concluded that partners PT. SII body posture in manual handling activities in a PVC Ware House area in the PT. Asahimas Chemical that investigation and repair is needed as soon as possible. As for the improvements suggestion that can be given to this case such as job evaluation, job method, attitude and body posture while working and then knowing the cause of body posture is not ergonomic so the prevention can be done before work accident happened.
