ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA materi ciriciri
makluk hidup melalui media alam sekitar pada siswa tunagrahita kelas V
semester I di SDLB-C YPLB Purwodadi tahun pelajaran 2014/2015.
Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas
(PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Tunagrahita kelas V semester I
SDLB-C YPLB Purwodadi tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 5 siswa.
Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi, observasi dan test. Teknik
analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif komparatif,
Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa hasil belajar IPA materi ciri-ciri makluk
hidup kondisi awal nilai rata-rata kelas 56 terdapat 1 siswa mencapai KKM (70)
dan 4 siswa belum mencapai KKM, pada siklus I hasil belajar IPA materi ciri-ciri
makluk hidup melalui media alam sekitar nilai rata-rata kelas 66, ketuntasan
klasikal mencapai 60%, pada siklus II hasil belajar IPA materi ciri-ciri makluk
hidup melalui media alam sekitar nilai rata-rata kelas 74 ketuntasan klasikal 100%.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui media alam
sekitar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA materi ciri-ciri makhluk hidup pada
siswa tunagrahita kelas V SDLB-C YPLB Purwodadi tahun pelajaran 2014/2015.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to improve learning outcomes in learning
science with the subject matter the characteristics of living beings through the
media of surrounding nature to the students with mental retardation of the fifth year
SDLB-C YPLB Purwodadi in the academic year 2014/2015.
The research approach used is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of
this research were all students with mental retardation of the fifth year SDLB-C
YPLB Purwodadi , consist of 5 students. The techniques used to collect data are
documentation, observation and test. The data analysis technique used is
comparative descriptive analysis.
The results of research show that the average score in early condition is 56,
one student has reached the Minimal Completeness Criteria and four students
haven’t reached it yet. The average score in Learning Cycle I is 66, means the
classical completeness reaches 60 %. The average score in Learning Cycle II is 74,
means the classical completeness reaches 100 %.
Based on the result, it can be concluded that the learning through the media
of surrounding nature can improve the learning outcome in learning science with
the subject matter the characteristics of living beings to the students with mental
retardation of the fifth year SDLB-C YPLB Purwodadi in the academic year
2014/2015.
