ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Model pembelajaran kooperatif NHT mendorong keaktifan dalam diskusi dan kerjasama dalam menguasai materi, sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif NHT dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa D-III Kebidanan.
Metode: Eksperimen semu dengan rancangan non randomized post test only control group. Penelitian dilaksanakan di D-III Kebidanan STIKes Aisyiyah Surakarta. Pengambilan data secara total sampling sebanyak 115 responden, terbagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen (59 responden) dan kelompok kontrol (56 responden). Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann Whitney.
Hasil: Model Pembelajaran NHT menghasilkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa dengan kriteria baik=94.92%, sangat baik=5.08%. Sedangkan, pada model pembelajaran konvensional: cukup baik=16.07%, baik=82.14%, sangat baik=1.79%. Nilai p=0.002.
Simpulan: Model pembelajaran kooperatif NHT dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa tentang materi perdarahan kehamilan muda pada mahasiswa semester-IV STIKes Aisyiyah Surakarta.

ABSTRACT
Background: NHT cooperative learning model encourages the students’ activeness in discussion and cooperation to master learning materials, and therefore it is expected to improve their learning motivation. The objective is to investigate the effect of NHT cooperative learning model to improve the learning motivation of the students of Diploma III in Midwifery Science.
Method: This research used the quasi experimental research method with the non-randomized post test only control group design. It was conducted at Diploma III in Midwfiery Science of Aisyiyah Health Science College of Surakarta. The samples of research were taken by using the total sampling technique and consisted of 115 respondents. They were divided into two groups, namely: experiemental group consisting of 59 respondents and control group consisted of 56 respondents. The data of research were analyzed by using the Mann Whitney test.
Result: The NHT cooperative learning model improves the students, learning motivation with the criteria of good=94.92% and very good=5.08%. Meanwhile the conventional one results in the following criteria: fair=16.07%, good=82.14%, and very good=1.79%. P-value=0.002.
Conclusion: The NHT cooperative learning model can improve the learning motivation on the learning material of Early Pregnancy Bleeding of the students in Semester IV of Midwifery Science of Aisyiyah Health Science College of Surakarta.
