ABSTRACT
Background: Acquired Imune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a collection of
symptoms that are caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). HIV /
AIDS in Indonesia since it was first discovered in 1987 up to now the number of
sufferers is increasing, the cumulative number of HIV / AIDS in Indonesia from 1
April 1987 to June 30, 2014 reached 55 623 142 950 people living with HIV and
AIDS, and has claimed 9760 soul. Commercial sex workers and their clients is
someone who is very risky in transmitting the HIV / AIDS because doing unsafe
sexual behavior and without using a condom. The purpose of this study was to
examine the factors that influence the behavior of pencehagan HIV / AIDS in women
commercial sex workers.
Subjects and Methods: The study was observational analytic research with cross
sectional design. Localization research sites in Pasar Kembang Yogyakarta with a
sample of female sex workers in the localization of 160 people with a sampling
technique is purposive sampling. The technique of collecting data using
questionnaires and literature. Data analysis using logistic regression.
Result: there is a positive effect was not statistically significant of education (OR =
1.33; CI = 95%; 0.64 to 2.78; p = 0.450) on the behavior of HIV-AIDS prevention.
There is a positive effect statistically significant from the availability of condoms
(OR = 0.10; CI = 95%; 0.03 to 0.38; p = 0.001) on the behavior of HIV-AIDS
prevention. There is a positive effect of knowledge statistically significant (OR =
2.31; CI = 95%; 1.16 to 4.61; p = 0.018) on the behavior of HIV-AIDS prevention.
Conclusion: the factors that significantly influence the prevention of HIV / AIDS is
knowledge and the availability of condoms.

ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Acquired Imune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) merupakan kumpulan
gejala penyakit yang di sebabkan oleh Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). HIV/AIDS
di Indonesia sejak ditemukan pertama kali pada tahun 1987 hingga kini jumlah
penderitanya makin meningkat,secara kumulatif jumlah penderita HIV/AIDS di Indonesia
dari 1 April 1987 sampai dengan 30 Juni 2014 mencapai 142.950 penderita HIV dan
55.623 penderita AIDS, dan telah merenggut 9.760 jiwa. Wanita pekerja seks komersial
dan pelanggannya merupakan seseorang yang sangat beresiko tinggi dalam menularkan
penyakit HIV/AIDS karena melakukan perilaku seksual yang tidak aman dan tanpa
menggunakan kondom. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji faktor faktor yang
mempengaruhi perilaku pencegahan HIV/AIDS pada wanita pekerja seks komersial.
Subjek dan Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian observasional analitik dengan
rancangan cross sectional. Lokasi penelitian di Lokalisasi Pasar Kembang Yogyakarta
dengan sampel wanita pekerja seksual di lokalisasi tersebut sebanyak 160 orang dengan
teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data
menggunakan kuesioner dan studi pustaka. Analisis data menggunakan regresi logistik.
Hasil: terdapat pengaruh positif yang secara statistik tidak signifikan dari pendidikan
(OR= 1,33; CI=95%; 0,64 hingga 2,78 ; p = 0,450) terhadap perilaku pencegahan HIV
AIDS. Terdapat pengaruh positif yang secara statistik signifikan dari ketersediaan kondom
(OR= 0,10; CI=95%; 0,03 hingga 0,38; p = 0,001) terhadap perilaku pencegahan HIV
AIDS. Terdapat pengaruh positif yang secara statistik signifikan dari pengetahuan (OR=
2,31; CI=95%; 1,16 hingga 4,61; p = 0,018) terhadap perilaku pencegahan HIV AIDS.
Kesimpulan: faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap pencegahan
HIV/AIDS yaitu pengetahuan dan ketersediaan kondom.
