ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif metode Make a Match Berbasis Visual pada siswa kelas VII F dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Tirtomoyo tahun ajaran 2014/2015.
Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian adalah kelas VII F SMP N 1 Tirtomoyo tahun ajaran 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 34 siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan metode Make A Match berbasis visual, keaktifan siswa dan hasil belajar siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) Tes untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa, (2) lembar observasi untuk mengukur keaktifan siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif metode Make A Match berbasis visual dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII F SMP Negeri 1 Tirtomoyo tahun ajaran 2014/2015 khususnya kompetensi dasar mendeskripsikan pola kegiatan ekonomi penduduk, penggunaan lahan, dan pola permukiman berdasarkan kondisi fisik permukaan bumi. Keaktifan siswa pada siklus I meningkatkan dari 50% menjadi 51,1% dan pada siklus II menjadi 60,29% dengan kategori keaktifan baik. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I meningkat dari 52,94% menjadi 67,65% dan pada siklus II menjadi 82,35%. Nilai rata-rata kelas pada siklus I meningkat dari 67,43 menjadi 75,15 dan siklus II menjadi 77,15.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research was to know improvement liveliness and learning outcomes through cooperative learning model of visual based Make A Match method on IPS learning at students of class VII F of SMP Negeri 1 Tirtomoyo in the academic year of 2014 / 2015.
This study used classroom action research as the research design. The subjects of research were students in class VII F of SMP Negeri 1 Tirtomoyo in the academic year of 2014/2015 that consisted of 34 students. The objects were the implementation visual based make a match method, liveliness, and students’ learning outcomes. Data collection techniques used in this research were: (1).the test to measure the results of student learning, (2).the observation sheets for measuring the liveliness of students. Data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative.
Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model, the visual-based Make A Match method could improve the students’ liveliness and students’ learning outcomes of students of class VII F of SMP Negeri 1 Tirtomoyo in the academic year of 2014 / 2015 particularly in the basic competence describing a pattern of economic activities population, land use, and the settlement pattern based on the physical condition of the earth surface. Liveliness students on cycle I improves from 50% become 51.1% and in cycle II, it becomes 60.29% with liveliness category is good. Students’ learning outcome on cycle I improves from 52.94% become 67.65% and in cycle II, it becomes 82.35%. The class average score on the cycle I improves from 67.65 become 75.15 and in cycle II, it becomes 77.15.
