ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Mendeskripsikan media pembelajaran IPS yang selama ini dilaksanakan, (2) Mendeskripsikan desain hasil pengembangan media film dokumenter berbasis konstruktif-kolaboratif dalam pembelajaran IPS,(3) Mengetahui bagaimana efektivitas media film dokumenter berbasis konstruktif-kolaboratif dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMK Negeri 3 Kudus.
Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (R n D). Penelitian ini mengacu pada prosedur penelitian pengembangan yang terdiri dari 7 tahap, yaitu: (1) perencanaan, (2) pengembangan produk awal, (3) uji coba awal, (4) revisi hasil uji coba awal, (5) uji lapangan operasional, (6) revisi produk akhir, dan (7) diseminasi. Berdasarkan pengamatan di lapangan penelitian ini berbasis kontruktif-kolaboratif sehingga mengadopsi model ADDIE. Uji efektivitas kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol menggunakan desain non-equivalent control group, yang dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 18 untuk hasil belajar kognitif dan pemahaman budaya lokal menggunakan T-Test.
Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Media pembelajaran IPS yang digunakan berupa pemberian modul IPS dan diskusi. Pemahaman siswa tentang budaya lokal masih kurang sehingga siswa membutuhkan media pembelajaran IPS yang komunikatif, (2) Proses pengembangan media pembelajaran ini mempunyai jumlah total 56 bila dirata-rata 4,30 dan bila di konversikan berdasarkan skala 5 maka keseluruhan dinyatakan baik dan layak diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran dengan revisi sesuai saran dari ahli pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan pengamatan selama pembelajaran di kelas, dilakukan diskusi mengenai pengertian budaya lokal, terlihat siswa antusias tentang materi budaya lokal.Kumpulan media film dokumenter yang dibuat oleh siswa dianggap layak oleh ahli media.(3) Efektifitas media film dokumenter dalam pembelajaran IPS berbasis kontruktivis-kolaboratif terbukti efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dengan nilai signifiknsi 0,000 dan pemahaman budaya lokal dengan nilai 0,000 berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai postest kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol.

ABSTRACT
This research aims to: (1) describe Social Studies Teaching media which have been utilized, (2) describe the design of the documentary film media development of Constructive and collaborative-based Social Studies teaching, (3) know the effectiveness of documentary film media for constructive and collaborative-based Social Studies teaching at SMK Negeri 3 Kudus.
The method of the research is research and development (RnD). This research utilizes 7 research stages which consist of: (1) planning, (2) preliminary product development, (3) preliminary try out, (4) revision of the preliminary try out results, (5) operational field try out, (6) revision of the final products, and (7) diessmination. In reference to the field observation, this research is categorized as constructive and collaborative research therefore this research adopts ADDIE. The effectiveness test of the experiment and controlled class utilized non-equivalent control group design analyzed using SPSS 18 for cognitive learning outcomes and T-test for local culture understanding.
The findings of the research are: (1) the teaching media of Social Sciences used by teachers include giving Social Studies Modul and discussion. The student’s understanding on local culture is still low, therefore they need communicative media for social studies teaching, (2) The results of the experts validation show that social studies teaching has a total score of 56 and the average is 4,30. When it is converted to the scale of 5, overall is good and eligible to be implemented in the teaching with revision form the experts. In reference to the results of observation in the classroom, the teachers utilized discussion about the definition of local culture and the students looked interested in local culture materials. The collection of documentary films teaching media created by the students is considered eligible by the experts, (3) the application of documentary films media in constructive and collaborative-based teaching Social Studies is proven to be effective in improving the cognitive learning outcomes with significance score of 0,000 and the local culture understanding with score of 0,000. This indicates that there is a significant difference regarding the post test between experiment and controlled class.
