ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk: (1) Mengembangkandesainmodul berbasis sistem pembelajaran otak (brain based learning)untuk siswa SMK Kelas X; (2) Mengujikelayakan modul berbasis sistem pembelajaran otak (brainbased learning)untuk siswa SMK Kelas X; (3) Menguji efektivitas modul berbasis sistem pembelajaran otak (brain based learning)untuk siswa SMK Kelas X.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan Borg & Gall yang dimodifikasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X Akuntansi SMK Batik 1 Surakarta. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode angket dan tes. Validitas angket dilakukan dengan validitas konstruk dengan meminta bantuan ahli. Validitas tes diuji dengan validitas isi dan validitas butir item. Pengujian reliabilitas tes dilakukan dengan rumus alpha. Analisis data kelayakan modul dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil kelayakan dengan kriteria yang ditetapkan Depdiknas. Data efektivitas modul dianalisis dengan membandingan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol menggunakan progam SPSS versi 20 dengan teknik t-test independent.
Hasil penelitian yaitu (1) pengembangan modul diawali dengan melakukan penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi awal, merencanakan bagian-bagian modul, membuat perangkat pembelajaran, mengembangkan format modul awal, melakukan uji coba awal (penilaian kelayakan oleh ahli), melakukan revisi pertama, melakukan uji lapangan terbatas (penilaian kelayakan oleh siswa), melakukan revisi tahap dua, melakukan uji lapangan operasional (membandingkan efektivitas modul yang dikembangkan dengan bahan ajar lama), revisitahaptiga, danpenyebaran; (2) modul akuntansi berbasis sistem pembelajaran otak yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak dengan nilai 80,77 oleh ahli materi, nilai 63, 55 oleh ahli media, dan nilai 83 oleh siswa; (3) modul akuntansi berbasis sistem pembelajaran otak memiliki efektivitas yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan bahan ajar lama. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil t-test independent pada hasil belajar siswa yang meliputi tiga aspek, aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik, menunjukkan bahwa r hitung lebih besar dari r tabel. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan r hitung pada aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik masing-masing sebesar 4,840, 8,287, dan 4,361. Sementara r tabel pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 (sig 2 tailed) dengan df 70 adalah sebesar 1,994.

ABSTRACT
The objectives of this research are: (1) to develop the module design based on the brain-based learning for the students in Grade X of Vocational High School; (2) to examine the feasibility of the developed module based on the brain-based learning for the students in Grade X of Vocational High School; and (3) to examine the effectiveness of the developed module based on the brain-based learning for the students in Grade X of Vocational High School.
This research used the research and development (R&D) method claimed by Borg & Gall with some modification. The subjects of research were the students in Grade X of Vocational High School Batik 1 of Surakarta. The data of research were collected through questionnaire and test. The former was validated by using the construct validity by experts. The latter was validated by using the content validity and the item validity, and its reliability was tested by using the alpha formula. The analysis of module feasibility data was done by comparing the result of feasibility testing with the criteria stipulated by the Department of National Education. The data of module effectiveness were analyzed by comparing the experimental class’s learning result and the control class’s learning result. The analysis was aided with the computer program of SPSS Version 20 with the independent t-test.
The results of research are as follows: 1) The module development includes preliminary research and information collection, planning the module parts, creating the learning devices, developing the preliminary module format, conducting preliminary product testing (feasibility assessment by experts), executing the first revision of product, conducting limited field testing (feasibility assessment by the students, executing the second revision of product, conducting operational field testing (comparing the effectiveness of the developed module to the former learning material), conducting the third revision of product, and dissemination of product respectively. 2) the developed Accounting module based on the brain-based learning module is declared feasible to be used as it is scored 80.77 by learning material expert, 63.55 by learning media expert, and 83 by student. 3) the developed Accounting module based on the brain-based learning module has ah higher effectiveness than the old learning material as indicated by the result of the independent t test on the students’ learning result which covers three aspects, namely: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor ones where the value r count is greater than that of rtable The result of calculation shows that the values of r count in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor ones are 4.840; 8.287; and 4.361 respectively. Meanwhile, the value of r table at the significance level = 0.05 (sig 2 tailed) with the df= 70 is 1.994.
