ABSTRAK
Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep
proklamasi kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia melalui penggunaan metode Guided
Note Taking pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 03 Waru, Kebakkramat, Karanganyar
tahun ajaran 2014/2015.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Prosedur
penelitian adalah menggunakan model siklus. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua
siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan
refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 03 Waru yang
berjumlah 34 siswa (16 siswa laki-laki dan 18 siswa perempuan). Sumber data berasal
dari guru, siswa, dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS dengan penerapan Guided Note
Taking. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan tes, observasi, wawancara dan
dokumentasi. Validitas data menggunakan teknik triangulasi data dan triangulasi
metode. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tercapainya pemahaman konsep proklamasi
kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia siswa kelas V SD Negeri 03 Waru tahun ajaran
2014/2015 yang dibuktikan dari peningkatan nilai pemahaman konsep proklamasi
kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia pada prasiklus yaitu 58,91 dengan persentase
ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 38,23%, meningkat pada siklus I yaitu 68,67 dengan
persentase ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 70,59%, dan meningkat pada siklus II yaitu
84,44 dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 88,24%.
Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan metode Guided Note Taking
dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep proklamasi kemerdekaan Republik
Indonesia pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 03 Waru tahun ajaran 2014/2015.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to improve understanding of the concept
independence proclamation of the Republic of Indonesia through the use of Guided
Note Taking metode of the students in Grade V of State Primary School 03 of Waru,
Kebakkramat, Karanganyar in Academic Year 2014/2015.
The type of this research was classroom action research (CAR) for two cycles.
Research procedure is to use the model cycle. The research was conducted in two
cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The
subjects were the students in Grade V of State Primary School 03 of Waru totaling 34
students (16 boys and 18 girls). Source of data derived from teachers, students, and
the implementation of learning social science with the application of Guided Note
Taking. Data collection techniques is to test, observation, interviews and
documentation. Validity of data using data triangulation techniques and triangulation
methods.Analysis of data using interactive analysis techniques.
The results showed the achievement of understanding of the concept
independence proclamation of the Republic of Indonesia the students in Grade V of
State Primary School 03 of Waru in Academic Year 2014/2015 as evidenced from the
increase in the value of understanding the concept of the central government system
in the pre-cycle is 58,91 with classical completeness percentage amounted to 38.23%
, increased in the first cycle is 68,67 with classical completeness percentage of
70,59%, and increased in the second cycle is 84.44 with the percentage of 88.24%
classical completeness.
The conclusions of this study is the use of Guided Note Taking metode can
improve the understanding of the concept independence proclamation of the Republic
of Indonesia the students in Grade V of State Primary School 03 of Waru in
Academic Year 2014/2015.
