ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara empiris pengaruh karakteristik kepala daerah yang diproksikan umur kepala daerah, tingkat pendidikan, latar belakang pendidikan, masa jabatan dan partai politik pendukung eksekutif dalam pengaruhnya terhadap indikasi korupsi belanja perjalanan dinas pada pemerintah daerah di Indonesia.
Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder dengan sampel  pemerintah daerah di pulau Jawa-Bali yang terindikasi korupsi belanja perjalanan dinas  tahun 2010 s.d 2013,diperoleh sampelpenelitian ini sebanyak 154 pemerintah daerah. Hipotesis penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi berganda.
Hasil penelitian secara umum dari 2 (dua) model regresi menunjukkan bahwa dari model pertama umur kepala daerah dan latar belakang pendidikan mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap jumlah temuan indikasi korupsi belanja perjalanan dinas, serta tingkat pendidikan kepala daerah mempunyai pengaruh negatif terhadap jumlah temuan indikasi korupsi belanja perjalanan dinas. Sebaliknya masa jabatan kepala daerah dan Political Backgroundtidak mempunyai pengaruh terhadap jumlah temuan indikasi korupsi belanja perjalanan dinas. Hasil model kedua tingkat pendidikan kepala daerah dan latar belakang pendidikan mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap rerata nilai rupiah indikasi korupsi belanja perjalanan dinas. Umur, masa jabatan kepala daerah dan Political Backgroundtidak mempunyai pengaruh terhadap rerata nilai rupiah indikasi korupsi belanja perjalanan dinas. Sehingga mampu disimpulkan bahwa karakteristik kepala daerah mempunyai pengaruh terhadap indikasi korupsi belanja perjalanan dinas pada pemerintah daerah, dan partai pendukung eksekutif tidak mempunyai pengaruh  terhadap indikasi korupsi belanja perjalanan dinas pada pemerintah daerah.

ABSTRACT
The study aims were determined empirically the effect of the regional leader characteristics were proxied age, educational level, educational background, tenure and political parties of executives supporting in their effect to the corruption indication of official travel expenditures at the local government offices in Indonesia.
The data were used in this research including of secondary data with samples of local government in Java-Bali that indicated corruption of official travel expenditures in 2010 - 2013, obtained the study sample as many as 154 local government.The study hypothesis was used multiple regression analysis.
The study results of the are generally of two regression models were showed that the first model of the age of the regional leader and educational background have a positive effect to the findings of corruption indication of official travel expenditures, as well as the educational level have a negative impact on the findings corruption indication of official travel expenditures.Instead the tenure and political background have no effect to the findings of corruption indication of official travel expenditures.
The second model results of education level and educational background have a positive effect on the average of rupiah value of corruption indications of official travel expenditures.Age, tenure and political background have no effect to the average of rupiah value of corruption indications of official travel expenditures.So it can be concluded that the characteristics of the regional leader have an effect to the corruption indication of official travel expenditures at local government offices, and the political parties of executive supporting does not have an effect on corruption indication of official travel expenditures at local government offices.
