ABSTRAKWork engagement adalah suatu keadaan positif mengenai pemenuhan pekerjaanyang berupa keterlibatan secara fisik, kognitif dan emosional selama menjalankanperan kerjanya. Sumber Daya Manusia yang memiliki engagement terhadappekerjaannya akan membantu tercapainya tujuan dari organisasi tempatnyabekerja. Pada anggota DPRD Kota Surakarta, work engagement yang tinggi akanmembantu tercapainya tiga fungsi DPRD, yaitu fungsi legislasi, anggaran danpengawasan. Work engagement pada suatu individu dipengaruhi oleh berbagaivariabel, diantaranya yaitu self-efficacy dan hardiness. Tujuan penelitian iniadalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-efficacy dan hardiness denganwork engagement, hubungan antara self-efficacy dengan work engagement, danhubungan antara hardiness dengan work engagement pada anggota DPRD KotaSurakarta.Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan 45 anggota DPRD Kota Surakartaperiode 2014-2019. Sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampel. Sampelpenelitian berjumlah 44 anggota DPRD Kota Surakarta. Instrumen yangdigunakan adalah skala work engagement, skala self-efficacy, dan skala hardiness.Hasil analisis regresi berganda menunjukkan nilai Fhitung sebesar 3,066 (< Ftabel3,18) dengan p > 0,05, dan nilai R = 0,361. Nilai R2 dalam penelitian ini sebesar0,130 atau 13%, dimana sumbangan efektif self-efficacy sebesar 10,49% dansumbangan efektif hardiness sebesar 2,50%. Secara parsial, tidak terdapathubungan yang signifikan antara self-efficacy dengan work engagement (rx1y =0,276), p > 0,05; serta tidak terdapat hubungan antara hardiness dengan workengagement (rx2y = 0,108), p > 0,05.Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikanantara self-efficacy dan hardiness dengan work engagement, antara self-efficacydengan work engagement, dan antara hardiness dengan work engagement padaanggota DPRD Kota Surakarta. Peningkatan kualitas aspek dedication dan aspekabsorption akan berpengaruh terhadap tingkat work engagement yang tinggi.Kata kunci: hardiness, self-efficacy, work engagement.ABSTRACTWork engagement is a positive situation regarding the fulfillment of the work tookthe form of physical, cognitive and emotional over his role. The aim of this study was to find out the relationship between selfefficacyand hardiness with work engagement, the relationship between selfefficacywith work engagement, and between hardiness and work engagement onSurakarta City Council members.The population was 45 legislators (Surakarta council members). Samplingtechnique was total sample. This study used 44 legislators as sample. Theinstruments that were used were: work engagement scale, self-efficacy scale, andhardiness scale.The output of multiple regression analysis, resulted F-test 3.066(p>0.05, and R value = 0.361. R-square value of this study was 0.130 or 13% withdetails: self-efficacy contribution to work engagement was about 10.49% andhardiness contribution to work engagement was 2,50%. Partially, there was nosignificant relationship between self-efficacy with work engagement (rx1y = 0,276),p > 0,05; and there was no significant relationsip between hardiness with workengagement (rx2y = 0,108), p > 0,05.The conclusion was there was no relationship between self-efficacy and hardinesswith work engagement, between self-efficacy with work engagement, and betweenhardiness with work engagement.
