ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan: (1) kemampuan berpikir kritis, (2) prestasi belajar siswa pada materi hukum dasar kimia dengan penerapan model problem solving dilengkapi media kartu pintar X MIA 3 SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta.
Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus meliputi tahap persiapan, perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian dilakukan pada kelas X MIA 3 SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Sumber data berasal dari guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi teknik tes yang berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan tes aspek pengetahuan, sedangkan teknik non tes berupa observasi, angket sikap dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif komparatif dan teknik analisis kualitatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa meningkat dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving dilengkapi media kartu pintar pada materi hukum dasar kimia X MIA 3 SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta. Pada siklus I persentase siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi adalah 62% meningkat menjadi 79% pada siklus II. (2) Prestasi belajar siswa meningkat dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving dilengkapi media kartu pintar pada materi hukum dasar kimia X MIA 3 SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta. Dalam penelitian ini prestasi belajar mencangkup 3 aspek yaitu pengetahuan, sikap dan ketrampilan. Prestasi belajar siswa aspek pengetahuan pada siklus I sebesar 59% meningkat menjadi 76% pada siklus II, sedangkan prestasi belajar siswa aspek sikap pada siklus I sebesar 76% meningkat menjadi 100% pada siklus II dan prestasi belajar siswa aspek ketrampilan telah tuntas 100% pada siklus I.

ABSTARCT
The objective of research was to improve: (1) the critical thinking ability (2) the learning achievement of 10th MIA 3 graders of SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta in the material of basic chemistry law using problem solving model with smart card media.
This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. Each of cycles included preparing, planning, acting, observing and reflecting stages. This research was taken place in the 10th MIA 3 grade of SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta in the School Year of 2014/2015. The data source derived from teacher and students. Techniques of collecting data used were test (critical thinking ability and knowledge aspect tests) and non-test (observation, attitude questionnaire, and interview). Data analysis was carried out using statistic descriptive comparative and qualitative analysis techniques.
The result of research showed that: (1) the critical thinking ability of students improved through problem solving learning model with smart card media in the material of basic chemistry law in the 10th MIA 3 grade of SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta. The proportion of students having high critical thinking ability was 62% in cycle I and it increased to 79% in cycle II. (2) The learning achievement of students improved through problem solving learning model with smart card media in the material of basic chemistry law in the 10th MIA 3 grade of SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta. In this study, learning achievement included 3 aspects: knowledge, attitude, and skill. The learning achievement of students in knowledge aspect was 59% in cycle I, increasing to 76% in cycle II. Meanwhile, that in attitude aspect was 76% in cycle I increasing to 100% in cycle II, and that in skill aspect had passed successfully (100%) in cycle II.
