ABSTRAK
Pembelajaran sastra di Sekolah Menengah Atas saat ini kurang optimal dikarenakan kurang variatifnya pembelajaran bahasa Jawa dan kurangnya bahan ajar. Novel sebagai salah satu karya sastra dapat dijadikan bahan ajar oleh guru. Namun novel kurang efektif jika dijadikan bahan ajar karena terlalu panjang. Novel perlu disimplifikasikan agar dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar. Penelitian ini mencoba menyederhanakan novel Kumandhanging Katresnan karya Any Asmara serta relevansinya dengan pembelajaran bahasa Jawa di SMA.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pola dan bentuk simplifikasi struktur naratif novel Kumandhanging Katresnan karya Any Asmara serta mengetahui relevansinya dengan pembelajaran bahasa Jawa di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori strukturalisme model Seymour Chatman. Teori tersebut digunakan karena dalam penelitian ini akan dianalisis struktur naratif novel Kumandhanging Katresnan karya Any Asmara. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan strukturalisme dan menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis.
Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa di dalam novel Kumandhanging Katresnan karya Any Asmara terdapat 23 sekuen inti. Selain itu, diketahui pula peristiwa dan wujud dalam novel tersebut. Simplifikasi novel Kumandhanging Katresnan karya Any Asmara memiliki 13 sekuen gabungan hasil turunan dari 23 sekuen inti. Hasil simplifikasi novel Kumandhanging Katresnan mempunyai relevansi dengan pembelajaran bahasa Jawa di SMA, yaitu dapat membantu guru dan siswa memahami isi dari novel tersebut dengan efektif.

ABSTRACT
Literature teaching in Senior High School currently less optimal because variety of learning the Java language and teaching materials have been lacked. The novel as a worked of literature can be used as teaching materials by teachers. But the novel decreased effective if used as teaching material for too long. Novel need simplification to be used as teaching materials. This study tried to simplify Kumandhanging Katresnan’s novel by Any Asmara and its relevance to learning the Java language in Senior High School.
This study aimed to reveal the pattern and form narrative structure of Kumandhanging Katresnan’s novel simplification by Any Asmara to determined its relevance to learning the Java language in Senior High School. This study used a model of structuralism theory Seymour Chatman. The theory used by researcher because in this study will be analyzed narrative structure Kumandhanging Katresnan’s novel. The approach in this study using the approach of structuralism and using descriptive analysis method.
Results of the study found that in the novel of Kumandhanging Katresnan by Any Asmara there are 23 core sequence. In addition, it has also known events and manifestation in the novel. Simplification of Kumandhanging Katresnan’s novel by Any Asmara derived 13 combined sequences from the results of 23 core sequences. Results of this study have relevance to learning the Java language in Senior High School, which can helped teachers and students to understand the contents of novel effectively.

Panaliten menika ngginakaken teori strukturalisme model Seymour Chatman. Teori menika dipunginakaken amargi ing panaliten menika badhe dipunanalisis struktur naratif novel Kumandhanging Katresnan anggitanipun Any Asmara. Pangrembagan panaliten menika ngginakaken teori strukturalisme lan migunakaken cara deskriptif analisis.
Asil panaliten menika mangertosi menawi ing novel Kumandhanging Katresnan dipunpantha dados 23 bagian inti. Sanesipun menika, dipunmangertosi ugi kedadosan lan wujud ing novel Kumandhanging Katresnan. Simplifikasi novel Kumandhanging Katresnan anggitanipun Any Asmara gadhah 13 sekuen gabungan asil saking ngrembakakaken 23 bagian inti. Asil ringkesing novel Kumandhanging Katresnan ugi gadhah relevansi kaliyan piwulangan basa Jawi ing SMA, inggih menika amrih mbiyantu guru lan siswa mangertosi isining novel kanthi langkung rikat.
