ABSTRAK
Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar permainan bolavoli melalui penerapan model pembelajaranTeaching Game for Understanding pada siswa kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 CepogoBoyolali Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Cepogo yang berjumlah 23 Siswa yang terdiri dari 9 siswa putra dan 14 siswa putri. Sumber data berasal dari guru, siswa dan peneliti. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi atau arsip.Validitas data menggunakan teknik triangulasi data. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif yang didasarkan pada analisis kualitatif dengan prosentase.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerpan pendekatan Teaching Game for Understanding dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar keterampilan bermain bolavoli dari prasiklus ke siklus I dan dari siklus I ke siklus II.Dari hasil analisis yang diperoleh peningkatan hasil belajar keterampilan bolavolisiswa pada Siklus I dari 23 siswa mencapai 52,17 % atau sebanyak 12 siswasudah masuk kriteria tuntas dan pada Siklus II meningkat mencapai 78,26 % atau sebanyak 18 siswa sedangkan 5 siswa lainnya belum tuntasdengan KKM 75.
Simpulan penelitian ini adalah dengan penerapan pendekatan Teaching Game for Understanding dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar keterampilan bermain bolavolipadasiswakelasXI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 CepogoBoyolaliTahunPelajaran 2014/2015.

ABSTRACT
The goals of this research is to improve learning output  of  playing volley ball through the application of Teaching Game for Understanding (TGfU) approach  for XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 CepogoBoyolali Academic year 2014/2015.
This research is classroom action research. It is  done  by two cycles which every cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research is XI IPA 2 student at SMA Negeri 1 Cepogo. It is about 23 students which including 9 boys and 14 girls. The source of data is taken from teacher, student and researcher. The techniques of collecting data are observation, questionnaire, and documentation or files. The data validation uses triangulation data technique. The analysis of data uses descriptive technique that refers to qualitative analysis with percentage.
The result of this research shows that the application of Teaching Game for Understanding (TGfU) approach Teaching Game for Understanding (TGfU) approach can improve the result of  the study of volley ball playing skill from pre cycle to cycle I and cycle I to cycle II.From the result of analysis is found the improvementthe students learning output  of  skill of playing volley ballin cycle I form 23 students reaches 52,17 % or 12 students belong to complete criteria anda in cycle II advance reaches 78,26 % or 18 students  meanwhile 5 other students incomplete score with 75 as completeness minimum criterion.
The conclusion of this research is the application of teaching game for understanding (TGfU)approach can improve the result of learning output of skill of playing volley ball for XI IPA 2 student at SMA Negeri 1 Cepogo  2014/ 2015.
