ABSTRACT
The aim of this research is to know : (1) the differences of the method effect teaching style of Reciprocal and Command to the learning result of the floor exercise, both on the comprehension of movement and the skill, (2) the differences of learning result among students with different muscle strenght, good, medium, and bad strenght,
The method which is used in this research is experiment method with factorial plan 2x3. The sample of this research is the male students of SMP Negeri 14 Berau, East Borneo. The total number is 66 students. The variable of this research is consist of two independent variables and one response variable. The free variable in this research are : (1) the teaching style as manipulative variable with two levels. They are the reciprocal, and command, (2) the muscle strenght as attributive variable with three levels. They are good, medium, and bad. The technical collecting data is test and measurement.
The experiment is three times in a week, every meeting 2x40 minutes for 18 times meeting. The experiment is done at SMP Negeri 14 Berau, East Borneo. The technical of data analysis is two ways of anova and advanced test using t-test method LSD (Least Significant Difference) to the level of signification 5% (α = 0,05). Computation in the analysis of variancy using the minitab 16 statistical program.
The result of the study are(a) upon the comprehension of floor exercise movement:(1) there are differences between the reciprocal and command teaching style to learning result. The reciprocal give better effect than command.(2) thereare nodifferential learning result among the students who have good, medium, and bad muscle strenght. (3) thereare no interactions between teaching stlyle and the muscle strenght to the learning result. (b) upon the skill of floorexercise:(1) there are differences between the reciprocal and command teaching style to learning result. The reciprocal give better effect than command. (2) thereare differential learning result among the students who have good, medium, and bad muscle strenght. Students with medium level of muscle strenght have the best learning result. (3) thereare interactions between teaching stlyle and the muscle strenght to the learning result.
