ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan: (1) kualitas proses belajar yang dilihat dari segi aktivitassiswadanmotivasibelajardalam pembelajaran menulis sinopsisteksceritarakyat pada siswa kelas XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 1SalamanMagelang melalui model pembelajaran picture and picture;dan (2) keterampilan menulis sinopsisteksceritarakyat pada siswa kelas XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 1 SalamanMagelang melalui model pembelajaran picture and picture.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Tindakan dalam penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 1 SalamanMagelangyang berjumlah 31 siswa. Sumber data yang digunakan adalahinforman(guru dansiswa), data dokumen, dancatatanlapangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, tes,analisisdokumendan catatanlapangan. Uji validitas data yang digunakan adalah teknik triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik deskriptif komparatif dan analisis data interaktif.
Simpulanpenelitianiniadalahpenerapan model pembelajaranpicture and picturedapatmeningkatan: (1) kualitaspembelajaranmenulisteksceritarakyatdilihatdarisegiaktivitassiswadanmotivasibelajar,yaitu pada siklus I sebesar 65,16% dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 77,42%; dan (2)hasil belajar siswa menulis sinopsisteksceritarakyat mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya, yaitupada siklus I mencapai ketuntasan belajar sebesar 61,29%, dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 90,32%.

ABSTRACT
This research aims to increase: (1) the quality of learning process seen from activity of studing and learning motivation aspect in writing with synopsis folklore text on XI MIA 3 Senior High School 1 SalamanMagelang using picture and picture models; and (2) the skill in writing synopsis folklore text on XI MIA 3 Senior High School 1 SalamanMagelang using picture and picture models.
This study is a classroom action research. The actions in this study was conducted in two cycle, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation of the action, observation and reflection. The teacher and 31 students from class XI MIA 3 Senior High School 1 SalamanMagelangwere selected as the subject of this study. The source of data that was used are the teacher, students, documents, and field notes. The data were collected by observatios, interviews,documents analysis, and field notes analysis. The source triangulation were used to test the validity of the data. The data were analyzed by using comparative descriptive and interactive data analysis.
The conclusion of research was that the application of picture and picture modelscould improve: (1) quality of learning writing synopsis folklore seen from activity of studing and learning motivation aspect, the motivation activity of studingwas 65,16% in first cycle, and it increased in to 77,42% in the second cycle; and (2)the result of learning in writing synopsis folklore text increased in each cycle,in the first cycle it was implicated that 61,29% students have mastered the learning and it increased to 90,32% in the second cycle.
