ABSTRAK
Tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui
perbedaan kemampuan berpikir spasial peserta didik pada penggunaan metode
pembelajaran TGT (Teams Games Tournament), metode pembelajaran Picture and
Picture, dan metode pembelajaran ceramah, (2) mengetahui keefektivan
penggunaan metode pembelajaran TGT dan metode pembelajaran picture and
picture terhadap kemampuan berpikir spasial peserta didik, (3) mengetahui
perbedaan kemampuan berpikir spasial peserta didik pada penggunaan metode
pembelajaran ceramah dengan metode pembelajaran TGT, (4) mengetahui
perbedaan kemampuan berpikir spasial peserta didik pada penggunaan metode
pembelajaran ceramah dengan metode pembelajaran picture and picture di kelas X
IIS SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo tahun ajaran 2014/2015.
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen (Quasi Experimen) dengan
rancangan Nonrandomized Control Group Pretest-Postest Design. Populasi dalam
penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X IIS SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo Tahun Ajaran
2014/2015. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik cluster sampling. Teknik
pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan tes kemampuan berpikir
spasial.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah anava satu jalan(one-way
anava) dan dilanjutkan pasca anava.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada perbedaan kemampuan
berpikir spasial peserta didik pada penggunaan metode pembelajaran TGT (Teams
Games Tournament), metode pembelajaran Picture and Picture, dan metode
pembelajaran ceramah, (2) metode pembelajaran TGT tidak lebih efektif
dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran picture and picture terhadap
kemampuan berpikir spasial peserta didik, (3) ada perbedaan kemampuan berpikir
spasial peserta didik pada penggunaan metode pembelajaran TGT dan metode
pembelajaran ceramah, (4) ada perbedaan kemampuan berpikir spasial peserta didik
pada penggunaan metode pembelajaran picture and picture dan metode
pembelajaran ceramah di kelas X IIS SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo tahun ajaran
2014/2015.

ABSTRACT
The objectives of this research are (1) to know the differences of students’
spatial thinking abilities by the application of Teams Games Tournament learning
method and Picture and Picture learning method, (2) to know the application
effectiveness of Teams Games Tournament learning method and Picture and
Picture learning method toward students’ spatial thinking abilities, (3) to know the
differences of students’ spatial thinking abilities on application of expository
learning method and Teams Games Tournament learning method, (4) to know the
differences of students’ spatial thinking abilities on application of expository
learning method and Picture and Picture learning method to X Social Class
Students of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo Grade Year of 2014/2015.
This research is a quasi experimental research with Nonrandomized
Control Group Pretest-Postest research design. Populations of this research are
the whole X Social Grade of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo Grade Year of 2014/2015.
Samples of this research are taken with Cluster Sampling technique. Data
gathering techniques of this research are interviews and spatial thinking ability
test. Data analysis that used in this research is one-way anava proceeded with
pasca-anava.
Results of this research showed that (1) there are differences of students’
spatial thinking abilities on applications of Teams Games Tournament learning
method, Picture and Picture learning method, and expository learning method, (2)
Teams Games Tournament learning method are not more effective compared by
Picture and Picture learning method toward students’ spatial thinking abilities, (3)
there are differences of students’ spatial thinking abilities on applications of Teams
Games Tournament learning method and expository learning method, (4) there are
differences of students’ spatial thinking abilities on applications of Picture and
Picture learning method and expository learning method to X Social Class Students
of SMA N 1 Sukoharjo Grade Year of 2014/2015.
