ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Minyak jelantah diketahui mengandung radikal bebas yang menyebabkan kerusakan dan kematian sel hepar yang bisa dicegah dengan antioksidan. Salah satu sumber antioksidan adalah buah Belimbing Wuluh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak buah Belimbing Wuluh dan variasi dosisnya terhadap kadar Serum Glutamic Piruvic Transaminase (SGPT)pada mencit yang dipapar minyak jelantah.
Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental laboratorik dengan the post test only control grup design. Sampel berupa mencit Swiss Webster jantan, berusia 2-3 bulan, berat badan + 20 gram, diambil secara incidental sampling sebanyak 30 ekor, dibagi dalam 5 kelompok secara random, masing-masing terdiri dari 6 mencit. Kelompok Kontrol (K) diberi akuades, Perlakuan 1 (P1) diberi minyak jelantah, Perlakuan 2 (P2) diberi ekstrak buah Belimbing Wuluh 5,6 mg dan minyak jelantah, Perlakuan 3 (P3) diberi ekstrak buah Belimbing Wuluh 11,2 mg dan minyak jelantah, Perlakuan 4 (P4) diberi ekstrak buah Belimbing Wuluh 22,4 mg dan minyak jelantah. Ekstrak buah Belimbing Wuluh diberikan 1 jam sebelum pemberian minyak jelantah selama 14 hari. Pada hari ke-15, mencit dikorbankan dan diambil darahnya melalui pleksus retroorbitalis. Hasil yang diperoleh diuji menggunakan uji One-Way ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji LSD (α =  0,05).
Hasil Penelitian:Rata-rata kadar SGPT mencit tiap kelompok adalah K = 37,5 + 8,256 U/L; P1 = 50,92 +8,267 U/L; P2 = 37,08 +5,043 U/L; P3 = 43,34 +7,834 U/L; P4 = 51,12 + 13,526 U/L. Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara K – P1, K – P4, P1 – P2, dan P2 – P4 serta menunjukkan perbedaan yang tidak bermakna antara K – P2, K – P3, P1 – P3, P1 – P4, P2 – P3, dan P3 – P4.
Simpulan Penelitian: Pemberian ekstrak buah Belimbing Wuluh menurunkan kadar SGPT mencit yang dipapar minyak jelantah. Peningkatan dosis ekstrak buah Belimbing Wuluh tidak meningkatkan penurunan kadar SGPT mencit yang dipapar minyak jelantah.

ABSTRACT
Background:Reheated palm oil was known to contain free radicals that cause damage and death of liver cell, antioxidant is needed to prevent. One source of antioxidant is Bilimbi fruit. This research aims to determine the effect of Bilimbi fruit extract and variant in dose of Bilimbi fruit extract on levels of Serum Glutamic Piruvic Transaminase (SGPT) in mice induced by reheated palm oil.
Methods: This research was a laboratory experimental with a post-testonly control grup design. The subject of research was Swiss Webster mice, male, age 2-3 mounths, weight + 20 grams. The subject ware chosen by incidental sampling for 30 individuals, devided randomly into 5 groups, each groups consist of 6 mice. The Control group (K) was given aquadest, the Treated group 1 (P1) was given reheated palm oil, the Treated group 2 (P2) was given Bilimbi fruit extract 5,6 mg and reheated palm oil, the Treated group 3 (P3) was given Bilimbi fruit extract 11,2 mg andreheated palm oil, the Treated group 4 (P4) was given Bilimbi fruit extract 22,4 mg and reheated palm oil. Bilimbi fruit extract was given 1 hour before reheated palm oil for 14 days. At the day-15, mice were sacrificed and the animal blood was collected from pleksus retroorbitalis. The result was analyzed statistically by one way ANOVA and followed by LSD test (α =  0,05).
Result: Mean of SGPT level in each group was K = 37,5 + 8,256 U/L; P1 = 50,92 + 8,267 U/L; P2 = 37,08 + 5,043 U/L; P3 = 43,34 + 7,834 U/L; P4 = 51,12 + 13,526 U/L. There wes significant difference between K – P1, K – P4, P1 – P2, and P2 – P4, there was not significant difference between K – P2, K – P3, P1 – P3, P1 – P4, P2 – P3, and P3 – P4.
Conclusion: The extract of Bilimbi fruit decrease SGPT level in mice induced by reheated palm oil. An increase in dose of Bilimbi fruit extract cannot increase the influence to decreaseSGPT level in mice induced by reheated palm oil.
