ABSTRACTPencantuman pictures funereal aroundcigarette packaging will bring the impact of them were found and effects for everyoneto messages from funereal the picture .The student was people have the level ofconsciousness , the level of education as well as the awareness higher .The purpose ofthis research is to find the relationship between the packaging funereal on cigarettesin the level of consciousness smoking and to know the relationship between thepackaging funereal on cigarettes in and the cigarette consumption among the studentsand uns .Methods used explanatory reseacrh , because this study trying to highlightand analyst the relationship between several variables and tested is hypothesizedbefore with samples from 100 respondents. This research using instrunen of thequestionnaire .The research results show that the level of consciousness than 100respondents there are 27 ( 27 % ) respondents at tingakatan high , levels and as manyas 40 ( 40 % ) of respondents and on tingakatan low as many as 33 ( 33 % ) ofrespondents .While the results of the study at the konsusmsi cigarette from 100respondents indicated 21 as 21 % respondents at tingakatan high , 35 ( 35 % ) levelsand , and in tingakatan low 44 ( 44 % ) of respondents has not changed behavior toreduce cigarette consumption. Based on the analysis of the data shows that there is afairly weak relationship between the influence of sinister picture on the packagingcigarette packs with the level of awareness of smoking, with a t value of 2.01 thus Horejected because t is greater than t table is 2,01> 1,661. And there is no relationshipbetween Ceram Pictures on the packaging of cigarette packs with the level ofconsumption of cigarettes, with a value of 1,573 t and thus the Ho accepted because tis smaller than t table is 1.573 <1.661. Inclusion of spooky image useful reduce thenumber of smokers can be started from the attitude of self-awareness to appreciateand implement warning the dangers of smoking, namely by supporting healthmessages on the label, the drive to reduce and quit smoking would be greater.Keywords: cigarettes ,scary picture , awareness of smoking , cigaretteconsumptionABSTRAKPencantuman gambar seram pada kemasan bungkusrokok akan membawa dampak postif dan efek bagi setiap orang yang terkena pesandari gambar seram tersebut. Kalangan mahasiswa merupakan kalangan yangmempunyai tingkat kesadaran, tingkat pendidikan serta pemahaman yang lebih tinggi.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gambar seram padakemasan bungkus rokok dengan tingkat kesadaran merokok serta untuk mengetahuihubungan antara gambar seram pada kemasan bungkus rokok dengan dan tingkatkonsumsi rokok di kalangan mahasiswa FISIP UNS. Metode yang digunakanexplanatory reseacrh, karena studi ini berusaha menyoroti dan menganalisahubungan antar beberapa variabel dan menguji hipotesa sebelumnya dengan sampelsebanyak 100 responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrunen berupa kuesioner.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesadaran dari 100 responden terdapat27 (27%) responden pada tingakatan tinggi, tingkatan sedang sebanyak 40 (40%)responden dan pada tingakatan rendah sebanyak 33 (33%) responden. Sedangkanhasil penelitian pada tingkat konsusmsi rokok dari 100 responden menunjukkansebanyak 21 (21%) responden pada tingakatan tinggi, 35 (35%) tingkatan sedang,dan pada tingakatan rendah sebanyak 44 (44%) responden tidak mengalamiperubahan perilaku untuk mengurangi konsumsi rokok. Berdasarkan analisis datadiperoleh bahwa terdapat hubungan yang cukup lemah antara pengaruh gambar serampada kemasan bungkus rokok dengan tingkat kesadaran merokok, dengan nilai tsebesar 2,01 dengan demikian Ho ditolak karena t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel yaitu2,01 > 1,661. Dan tidak terdapat hubungan yang antara Gambar Seram pada kemasanbungkus rokok dengan tingkat konsumsi rokok, dengan nilai t sebesar 1,573 sertadengan demikian Ho diterima karena t hitung lebih kecil dari t tabel yaitu 1,573 <1,661. Pencantuman gambar seram yang berguna menurunkan angka perokok dapatdimulai dari sikap kesadaran diri untuk menghargai dan mengimplementasikanperingatan bahaya merokok, yaitu dengan mendukung pesan-pesan kesehatan yangtertera pada label maka dorongan untuk mengurangi serta berhenti merokok akanlebih besar.Kata kunci: Rokok, Gambar seram, Kesadaran merokok, Konsumsi rokok
