ABSTRACT
Problem Based Learning model through Group Investigation is a learning model that is combined between learning model with problem and it will be analyzed by investigation group activity. The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of problem based learning using group investigation can improve student’s interest and achievement on XI IPA 3 students of SMAN 1 Sampang.
This research is the Classroom Action Research consist of three cycles. Thiscyclehas three steps, such as planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subject of this research is students on XI IPA 3 in SMANegeri 1 Sampangconcists of 39 students. The tehnique of collecting data are test, observation, documentation and field notes. The technique in analyzing data is using descriptivequalitative analyzed technique..
The result shows that the questionaresis given to the studentsin the first cycle,it can be found that the average score is 76,21 and the minimal criteria is 61,54%, the average score in the second cycle is 92,03 and the minimal criteria is 100%. The average store in the third cycle is97,95 and minimal criteria is 100%. The post test result that the average score in the first cycle is 74,74with achievement of minimal criteria is 61,54%, the average score in the second cycle is 79,49with the achievement of minimal criteria 74,36%. The lastcycly has average score86,92with achievement of minimal criteria is 100%.
The Implementation problem based learning model through group investigation can improve students’ interest and achievement because itgives opportunityfor students to think the main problem and find the concept by analyzing result critically and directly. The student include in discovery process which support the student to build the concept progresivelly using group investigation. From the result above, it can be concluded that the implementation of problem based learning in teaching learning process through group investigation can improve student’s interest and achievement on XI IPA 3 students in history lesson of SMA N 1 Sampang.

Abstrak
Model pembelajaran problem based learning melalui grup investigasimerupakansuatu model pembelajaranperpaduan antara model pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang diselesaikan melalui kegiatan grup investigasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah dengan penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning melalui grup investigasi dapat meningkatkanminat dan prestasi belajar sejarahsiswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMA N 1 Sampang.
Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research)terdiridaritigasiklusdengantahapanperencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasidanrefleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 3 SMA N 1 Sampang sebanyak 39 siswa.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi, dokumentasi, angketdancatatan lapangan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan berdasarkan hasil jawaban angket minat belajaryang diberikan kepada siswa pada siklus I dapat diketahui bahwa jumlahskorrata-rata sebesar 76,21danketuntasanklasikal61,54%, siklus II jumlah skor rata-rata sebesar 92,03 dan ketuntasan klasikal 100%, dan siklus III jumlah skor rata-rata sebesar 97,95 dan ketuntasan klasikal 100%. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa hasil post test, siklus I rata-rata sebesar 74,74 dengan pencapaian ketuntasan sebesar 61,54%, siklus II rata-rata sebesar 79,49 dengan pencapaian ketuntasan sebesar 74,36%, siklus III rata-rata sebesar 86,92 dengan pencapaian ketuntasan sebesar 100%.
Penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning melalui grup investigasi mampu meningkatkan minat dan prestasi belajar karena memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk berpikir kritis terhadap suatu pokok permasalahan dan menemukan suatu konsep secara langsung dari hasil analisis. Siswa terlibat dalam proses discovery (penemuan), yang mendorong untuk membangun konsep secara progresif melalui investigasi kelompok. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning melalui grup investigasi dapat meningkatkan minat dan prestasi belajar sejarahsiswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Sampang.
