<xml> Normal 0 false false false IN X-NONE X-NONE </xml><![endif]-->The research aims to know (1) which learning model of learning cycle 7E and conventional learning model results better in the students’ achievement, (2) which type of student has better learning achievement, whether students with high mathematics logical intelligence or moderate ones, students with high mathematicss logical intelligence or low ones, and students with moderate mathematics logical intelligence or low ones, (3) of each learning model, which one results in better achievement between students with high mathematics logical intelligence and moderate ones, students with high mathematics logical intelligence and low ones, and students with moderate mathematics logical intelligence and low ones, (4) of each level of mathematics logical intelligence, which one performs better achievement whether the one taught with Learning Cycle 7E or conventional model in learning probability.This research is an obscure experimental research. Population of the research was 10 classes of eleventh grade students in SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta academic year of 2015/2016 with 298 students. Sample taken were two classes with the total number of students of 60. Sample was chosen through cluster random sampling. The instruments testing was conducted in SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta. Data were collected by means of documentation for the students’ grade from math tests, testing for determining the students’ mathematics logical intelligence, and math test for knowing the students’ achievement in probability. Data were analyzed through two-way variance with different cell, then further test after anova was conducted, that was double comparison test using Scheffe method. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) manakah yang menghasilkan prestasi belajar lebih baik antara pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E atau dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) manakah yang menghasilkan prestasi belajar lebih baik antara siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis tinggi atau sedang, antara siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis tinggi atau rendah, dan antara siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis sedang atau rendah, (3) pada masing-masing model pembelajaran, manakah yang menghasilkan prestasi belajar lebih baik antara siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis tinggi atau sedang, antara siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis tinggi atau rendah, dan antara siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis sedang atau rendah, (4) pada masing-masing tingkat kecerdasan logis matematis, manakah yang menghasilkan prestasi belajar lebih baik antara siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E atau siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran konvensional dalam pembelajaran pada materi peluang.

Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian eksperimental semu. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2015/2016, yang terdiri dari 10 kelas dengan banyaknya siswa 298. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu 2 kelas dengan jumlah total siswa kedua kelas tersebut adalah 60 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara sampling random kluster. Uji coba instrumen dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data yang berupa data nilai UAS matematika wajib, metode tes untuk data kecerdasan logis matematis siswa dan metode tes untuk data prestasi belajar matematika siswa pada materi peluang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama, kemudian dilakukan uji lanjut pasca anava yaitu uji komparasi ganda dengan menggunakan metode Scheffe. Sebagai persyaratan analisis yaitu populasi berdistribusi normal menggunakan uji Lilliefors dan populasi mempunyai variansi yang sama (homogen) menggunakan metode Bartlett.

Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E memberikan prestasi belajar matematika yang lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis tinggi memiliki prestasi belajar yang sama baiknya dengan siswa kecerdasan logis matematis sedang serta siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis tinggi dan sedang memiliki prestasi belajar matematika lebih baik dari pada siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis rendah, (3) pada masing-masing model pembelajaran, siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis tinggi menghasilkan prestasi belajar yang sama baiknya dengan siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis sedang, dan siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis tinggi dan sedang menghasilkan prestasi belajar yang lebih baik daripada siswa dengan kecerdasan logis matematis rendah, (4) Pada masing-masing tingkat kecerdasan logis matematis, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E  menghasilkan prestasi belajar yang lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi peluang.
