News has to be produced through some processes before it is delivered to the viewers. It starts from taking pictures and topics of news until editing process to be complete and proper news. Editing process has important role in the process of making news which is broadcasted to the viewers. Editing itself can be described as a process of actuating, arranging, and amalgamating the video shoots that have been recorded.

            The writer had done the internship program at PT. Aksara Solopos. PT. Aksara Solopos is one of broadcasting media in Solo. PT. Aksara Solopos, which is well known as Solopos, has many kinds of media information which is delivered to societies. They are Solopos daily news, Solopos FM until Solopos television streaming which is usually called as Solopos TV. The writer got a chance to be a Solopos TV editor during the internship program. In this internship program, the writer chose to be an editor because the writer wanted to apply his knowledge and get deeper understanding about editing process. Moreover, the writer wanted to know what challenge that the writer got during the editing process on Solopos TV. Through this internship program, the writer learnt how to resolve problems in editing process.

            Similar to the others news program in general, Solopos TV also has two processes before the program is delivered to the viewers. They are pre-production process and after production process. In this case, the writer did his duty on after production process, where the writer got assignment to edit some news which had been available then it was edited to be a good news. Therefore, it could be enjoyed by the viewers. During the internship program, the writer did many activities. The duty was not only about editing news but the writer also became a reporter and cameraman. However, editing news was the main duty for the writer.

            During two months, the writer got experience to work in broadcasting field especially on Solopos TV streaming which could not be separated to the guidance from the institute. The writer got many experiences about the steps of editing process. The writer also learnt how to be a good editor. According to the writer, the important lesson that can be learnt during the internship program is an editor has to have high responsibility and good time management. There are two suggestions for Solopos TV management. Firstly, Solopos TV has to improve the internet because internet is an essential thing for the process making of program on television streaming. Furthermore, Solopos also needs to expand the editing room to build comfortable atmosphere during editing process.
