Newspapers have policies of different editorial. This affects how the media in presenting news content. Jawa Pos newspaper and the Kompas newspaper is the largest newspaper in Indonesia. In the presentation of simultaneously election news, both newspapers has a different news content. It is seen from the direction of the news category contents, news style and disclosure of this type of the news. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of the concurrent election’s news content on Jawa Pos newspaper and the Kompas newspaper period October-December 2015.

The theory used is the theory of the hierarchy that explain the influence of the contain from a media coverage that is affected by the influence of internal and external influences. This research technique using content analysis techniques with the entire population of the simultaneous elections news on Jawa Pos newspaper and the Kompas newspaper period October-December 2015. To find out whether or no difference in the content of news on both the newspapers used the formula of chi square.

The population was collected and calculated by the formula of the chi square. In the category of news content direction there are no differences. In the category of news content direction there is a difference between the Jawa Pos newspaper and Kompas newspaper. Jawa Pos newspaper more present events concerning simultaneous elections in the area of socialization, community participation in following the election of the head of the region and the distribution of ballots. While the Kompas newspapers more presenting events that occur in the Government such as the formation of special teams by the Ministry of home affairs to oversee the performance of local government, Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affair’s effort to stop the cheating of the prospective candidates, and the 

results of the meeting between general elections commission and National Parliament about the policy of a single candidate. On the category about style disclosure, There is no different between both newspaper. Both newspaper was equally present the informative news to an audience. On the category of the style disclosure, there is no defferent between both newspaper. Both newspaper was equally present the informative news to an audience. And on the category type of news there is a difference between the Jawa Pos newspaper and the Kompas newspaper. Jawa Pos newspaper put the straight news that is not focused on a news coverage. Kompas newspaper put the straight news on the front page, the title written shortly, clear and news content is served directly as well as what it is.
